Cymbie, you took the words right out of my mouth. I have been on the list for close to three years, yet I only have five or six tapes. Even though I do have a major lack in my collection, I would NEVER EVER EVER expect someone to send me tapes for free. (Though, the reason i have those five tapes to begin with is because a kind angel DID send them free of charge). People do not have the means to do such trades. Many people on this list (including me), do not have jobs, and therefore, cannot afford tapes/equipment/postage. A note to all angels: please never expect tapes to be free. Sure, it would be AWESOME if they were, but some people just can't do it! If I could increase my collection, I would...but for now, it's going to have to stay at the measly five tapes..and I have accepted that. I was there last night (Tues) -- Great show, wasn't it? (I take it you were there too?) Loved the ad-libbed song Steve did about arachnephobia (Jewel told the audience Steve could sing about anything, and to yell out suggestions... That's the one that came up. He had a heck of a time rhyming "spider". (Can't remember how he ended up rhyming it.) Everyone started yelling out song titles (When she said she wasn't sure what to play...) Don't know if it was by coincidence or not, but a song AFTER I yelled "Cold Song!" she played it. (Soon after, I think she got tired of people yelling song titles out, because she said "Ok, this ain't the Price Is Right!" Overall it was a great show. It was cool because it was outside, at night, so the crickets were out in full force... Every time there was silence on stage, or a break in a song, the crickets filled the silence. Jewel started singing WWSYS but flubbed on a line and gave up on it, saying "Eh, I'm sick of that song anyway.." or something. :) Oh. So anyway, Michiel was there too, and he tried taping, but the battery started to die, and then security noticed the recorder...so they shut him down. (Said [when the battery died,] he'd try again tonight.) [Hi Michiel, by the way! It was very nice meeting you. I hope it came out okay the second show.] Anyway... :) Just had to fill in some details...
