I went through the process of sending him blank tapes and postage, etc. After more than a week of not receiving my tapes, I received a very very apoligetic email from Mykle explaining how busy he had been, The next day I received my tapes FedEx and on better blank tapes than I had sent him. Never had any kind of contact with him or anything. The first I heard of him was when Mike informed us that Mykle died of lung cancer. And that is how he inspired me. I was reminded of a thing called lung cancer. I've been inspired to quit smoking, once and for all. I've tried to quit many many times to no avail, but I think its time I quit for good. Life's too short to die young. Funny how it sometimes takes something so tragic like this to make people realize that smoking really is a horrible thing. I hope that I wasn't the only one who decided to quit smoking. I was waiting and waiting and they weren't coming. Finally one day my self addresses stamped package came in the mail. Inside were my blank tapes and this note: Chrissy-- I am returning your tapes. Michael died Monday Aug. 21 -- and I know he made Jewel Tapes, but have no idea where they are right now. Sorry -- Michael's Mother I want us to remember the pain that his family must be going through-- I personally feel that Mykle's (I guess his family spells it Michael) mom didn't have to take the time to mail the tapes back to me-- I feel aweful that I might have caused them any kind of grief by having that package come in the mail during such a difficult time. I would like to do something nice to thank her for sending them back, but I do not wish to cause any further pain. What do you guys think? He was just diagnosed Friday of having congestive heart failure. They think it's reversible, but he only has a couple months to try and reverse it. I know if you all could keep him in your thoughts, and prayers if you pray, that it would help a lot knowing that he had everyone pulling for him. I'll keep everyone updated.
