I have heaps of it to trade, I just >need partners! I could've sworn the Baghdad Cafe story was about Angel Needs A Ride.. The "It's a long road that stretched from Vegas to nowhere" part.. Maybe I'm wrong or maybe Jewel got mixed up.. I wouldn't be surprised, what with her always mixing up songs and lyrics.. Like using the Dylan story for "Sometimes It Be That Way," "Who Will Save Your Soul," and even "Chime Bells".. I jsut posted a response to a question about a Jewel story, and it made me think of a question.. What are y'all's favorite Jewel story? I'd have to go with Jewel's story after 1000 Miles Aways on Hard Rock Live where she talks about Melissa Etheridge leaving a message on her machine, or the Pieces Of You story making fun of the supermodels.. =) Scott Evans -- scott@tanweb.com Planet Jewel -- http://jewel.tanweb.com my page -- http://tanweb.com/scott Little fish, big fish swimming in the water Come back here man, give me my daughter -- PJ Harvey ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 9 Sep 2000 13:23:01 EDT From: Nucca94@aol.com Subject: * (no subject) hey everyone, how are you all doing today? well, i am doing good. i am just writing asking anyone if by chance they may have any live recordings of Jewel? as you know i am a huge fan, and i am looking for recordings. i am a 19/m, and in love w/ jewel....and will do anything to marry her. thanks everyone and have a good day. mike ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 9 Sep 2000 22:44:43 +0200 From: wigglytooth@gmx.de Subject: * fanmeetings - stories and photos requested Hi EDAs on my website Java Jewel´s I have started a new section "Jewel and her fans" where Jewel´s fans can publish stories and photos of their meetings with Jewel. I think that Hands is one of the best songs that Jewel has ever written. The thing is that most people don't really appreciate its real impact because it was played so much over here in Kamloops. The lyrics that she states in the song are so gentle and strong at the same time. The line where she says that "then ours shall go singing" always gives me chills. Everytime I hear that song I get so overcome with emotion I just adore it. Megan (Introverted Angel) ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V5 #286 ***************************
