I have gotten many requests. I found a place that will make copies for me and the cost depends on the number of copies I want. They said it would be $7 each plus tax for 20. So I figure with shipping it will come out to about $10. I will go ahead and have 20 made now and if you are still interested, go ahead and email me with the address you would like it sent to and I will get back to you personally. ~Susan ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 26 Jul 2000 00:25:58 EDT From: RoXyGrL628@aol.com Subject: * hello all hey guys, i'm a fairly new eda, but i already feel so close to you guys! i think it's great that we can all be brought together by loving the music of the greatest singer/songwriter in the world, jewel! so, i just wanted introduce myself and just let out a few of my own thoughts. i just saw RWTD tonight (lol, with my bf who wasn't too happy about watching it, but oh well :) i thought it was very good. it was a little slow at times, but jewel was excellent. i also want to say that all of you eda's who live on the west coast are soooo lucky to be able to go and see her so many times in such a short period of time. i think she should come to philadelphia to play! she was great last summer! so, while all of you californians are enjoying her awesome performances, think of us east coasters and how deprived we are! lol, it's ok...i know it's worth the wait to see her again! also, one more thing...if anyone has the angelfood tape/cd of jewel live in san diego, i would totally appreciate it, cuz i have no angelfood! thank you to those who read this far! ~liz the angel who is too new to have a name yet.... :) ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 26 Jul 2000 01:44:57 -0700 From: "Sandy" Subject: * Re: Jewel Coming to Milwaukee > here i go starting up something again.... Don't worry, I was thinking exactly what you were thinking, I've just been on a "stop disagreeing with people all the time" kinda thing. My boyfriend says I spend too much on the internet discussing (ok arguing lol) my opinions with people! > > but IMO, that sounds like just an excuse to persuade jewel into going to > Wisconsin. My opinion too. That's the first thing I thought. I also read another post that had the same flavour as this one, but I didn't save it. I think it had something to do with wanted to contact Jewel to do a "save this community theatre" concert. I just regarded it as being a big excuse for Jewel to come to their city, in my opinion. If Jewel ran around saving little community theatres and stuff all the time, every time someone had something in their city that was closing down, she'd never have time to do real tours, nevermind time to relax for herself :) > > So in that case, I motion that she do a benefit concert in FL. She's only > been here about twice too. (sarcasm.... i thrive on it) and I motion she does a benefit concert in Canada, maybe a "save the igloos, mounties and polar bears". You know, cause she only played one concert in all of Canada. (sarcastic joke, don't get all bent outta shape, I ain't complaining) > > anyways, most likely a benefit concert for HGH would take place somewhere in > CA, or maybe NY. but most likely CA. Your absolutely right, a benefit concert would be held somewhere in a large city, most likely, or at least somewhere near Jewel. > > cymbaline > > ps... don't anyone tell me that i'm not an EDA because I disagree alot and > vent what i'm thinking about what someone said. I gave a homeless man $20 > Sunday, so I really *am* an EDA... (sarcasm again, but I really did give him > $20, and he proceeded to go into the store where I work and buy some food, > and an oil lamp, so he can see at night) I fed my cats yesterday, does that count? Can I be an EDA too? *grin* Oh, and I fed a hungrey teenage girl - myself!!!! :) ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 26 Jul 2000 01:57:10 EDT From: JEWEL1165@aol.com Subject: * Mr. Poltz Hi everyone..time for my once a year post :) Anyways I just read that poast about who Jewel dated and when it got to Steve Poltz and how he's dating someone named Anya...I thought it was kinda cool because Anya used to play in a band with my cousin. They're awesome. :-() Anyway, just one question. When FANatic on MTV aired someone told me that Jewel met with a fan. I'm wondering, if anyone knows, who the fan was, when Jewel met with them, and what they talked about. It was probably a long time ago or never?!? Respond. Anyone. As usual, I had a blast! I drove up with Dennis & Albert and we got there around 6 on Friday evening. Naturally, it was pouring, so I let them set up the tent without me (hey, I'm no dummy!) As soon as they had it set up, the rain stopped, of course. We threw some steaks on the grill and eventually headed over to the fire to talk, be silly, and make s'mores (courtesy of Bearsville newbies Gina and Jay who drove all the way from Ohio to be with us). The only thing louder than us were the mysterious mutant frog-ducks that I never did get to see but they sure sounded BIG. Saturday morning we went horseback riding - definitely a new tradition! I rode "Easy" with Tammy on "Weiner" directly in front of me. The funniest was Travis' horse, George, who was slower than dirt. My favorite line from Carly, our leader, was "kick George harder! Don't worry that you're hurting him; if you were hurting him, he'd be MOVING!!!" I could have done without going down (sliding down would be more accurate) what I later learned they call Suicide Hill, however. When we got back to camp, our favorite list owner, Mikee Connell was waiting and we all made our usual trek into Woodstock (there were about 30 of us). We had fun looking at all the shops and buying jewelry. Then we went to a little flea market where I felt compelled to pick up a book for $2 that was printed in 1903 entitled "Jewel - A Chapter in Her Life"! LOL! Next, some of us hit a Tibetan monastery which was really cool and very beautiful. Next year we'd like to take the tour. Then we caught the sunset while sitting by a reservoir. Little did I know what I was starting when I picked a piece of grass and played it by putting it between my thumbs and blowing on it. Suddenly there were about 7 of us playing "grass harps" and boy did it sound terrible! The sun FINALLY set to our perfect countdown that ended just as the last bit dissappeared behind the mountains. Back at camp, we had some new arrivals by the time we returned, including Sean Hooks who actually came WITHOUT being bribed this year - ah, maybe there's hope for him yet. :-) (I said MAYBE!) Sunday morning (actually afternoon by the time we got there) the EDA's that were brave enough went inner tubing in rather chilly weather. The water was like ice, but we still had a great time! And no major injuries to report. Afterwards, we broke with tradition and went to Winchell's to eat rather than Diner Diner Diner, which has lost one of it's signs so we must now call it Diner Diner. And that's about it for my recap. Woodstock and Sleepy Hollow now have a year to recover from our terror before it starts all over again! And, by the way, I LOVED the new campsite much better than Steve's. Thanks to everyone who was there for a great time!
