(although I seem to recall a recent on-list discussion about that one where someone thought it was Jewel and it was in fact some Swedish singer/songwriter....Sophie something?) Rocker Girl - it was released as one of the 5 extra songs on the vinyl release edition of Pieces Of You (two LPs), AND it was on the "You Were Meant For Me" Jewel promotional CD more commonly known as "Phyllis Barnaby Finally Gets A Bra which was released in November of 1995. (more info at www.quackquack.net/jewel/pbfgab2.htm ). It was also on the "EDA List" treed "angelfood" tape known as Radio Angels. (head to www.angelfoodbank.org for more info on that tape and how to get a copy of it where all you have to do is send a blank tape, return mailer and postage) Quiet Warrior - was on the 1996 multi-artist compilation charity CD put out by the Surfrider Foundation organization. The CD was called MOM (Music For Our Mother Ocean). There was also a MOM II CD, and while I am not sure, I believe Jewel's contribution was a song called "V12 Cadillac". I am not certain, but I believe Quiet Warrior was on at least one piece of widely traded "angelfood" in late 1996/early 1997, maybe even on a treed tape. The CD has you were meant for me, cold song, and rocker girl...however, it is not the Phyllis Barnabee Finally Gets a Bra CD. The cover has jewel walking along a road with Big Blue in her hands.
