I can certainly concur with the joys of roadtripping and drinking in every ambrosiac moment of her divinity, yet it is her illness which she has been fighting I believe all her life, and more noticable recently which should delay any such strenuous activities such as suggested. I believe I can explain the illness...a deity form is the ultimate attainment of being as per subject, this is equated in language by the names epiphany of form. Zeus was given shape of lightning (though only later as a Z) and Jesus became of iezeus which meant jewish god king. Jewels name is symbolic of the ultimate collection of earth, and thus she embodies by association the spirit of the earth. In being so associated, she reflects the pains and illnesses, Ergo she seeks to purify the water and lands...remember all the poision you inflict becomes her pains... I don't know if this will include Violet Eyes or not (as some said it was left off of the VHS tape), but I've been told that several radio shack managers have stated they will be getting DVD copies of this show in the near future. So everyone with DVD players anyway won't have to go and beg the RS employees for tape dubs. Derrick > Hi , Derrick & All . I Hope that you are right about DVDs being made available ... However , my store manager said they would be getting in a DVD of the concert , TO REPLACE THEIR VHS COPY , that they started out playing June 8 ... It sounded like they would probably have the DVD in sometime next week , so that would be the time for people to ask for the VHS copy -- when they get their DVD copy in . But two or three songs on the satellite broadcast are apparently Not on the VHS copies . :-( Take care . --Joe http://www.egroups.com/group/Folk-Rock ===== folk_rock@yahoo.com My Home Page --Currently on KOSOVO , etc. : http://www.geocities.com/joeshenk __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 10 Jun 2000 03:10:06 -0700 (PDT) From: "Joe P. ( I missed the very beginning at the first store ) Later when I caught some of the concert at two other stores , I Definitely saw material Not on the VHS copy ... Foolish Games , Violet Eyes , and maybe one other one that were shown on the direct satellite feed , were Not on the VHS tape shown in other Radio Shack stores ! It was so beautiful performed and is really one of my favourite songs from now on. The songs Stephenville and Break me would really be perfect for a record and hopefully we can listen to Jewel in Europe soon again. I was very impressed by the songs Jewel played for the Austin City Limits...The show was so nice conducted that it really gave for me a happy feeling. Now i know again why i am such a dedicated fan because of the beauty of the songs Jewel sings in front of audiences. It really gets the best out Jewel , nobody is such a wonderful entertainer as Jewel. She wrote in Stephenville that she is a singer and entertainer and that she is grateful for the succes she got so far. Break me and Stephenville are my best heard songs of Jewel of 2000 , nothing in the current popscene can compare at the moment for me to this songs . It was great and emotional to hear Life uncommon on ACL and Who will save your soul was just great again!!!!! I was originally planning on including the version of this song that she sang in St. Paul this summer, and I will use that if I don't find this one. I just thought it sounded much more polished when she sang it at the Radio Shack concert. Thanks!
