The group consisted of wonderful people who were not only interested and inspired by your music but also interested in benefiting humanity. I was so ecstatic about finding such a group that I took the name of an everyday angel to heart and strove to become one in every aspect of the words. I developped a screenname on America Online as an EverydayAngel and the only source of acknowledgement in my profile was a quote of yours,"In the end, only kindness matters." For two hours a night, I would search through America Online Member directories to find people who were online and whose birthdays were that day. I was so glad that I could bring this unexpected happiness into a person's life by doing a little random kindness that took harldy any time at all. In such an impersonal world such as this one, it is important to do kind things for those you may not know, just to see raw ehappiness at its best, and maybe even make a new friend. My goal for this little project of mine was simple: If one person who I wished happy birthday to remembered my kindness then it was all worth it, because I knew that person who remembered what I did, would choose to give the kindness I had shown him/her to another person in another way on a different day, thus creating a chain of random acts of kindness, and perhaps making the world a better place. Well I was successful at this, I still have several people who email me from time to time to see how I am doing, and I have the tales to remember and appreciate, such as being the first to wish a girl a happy birthday when everyone else forgot, or being the only one to wish an elderly man a happy birthday with no other family. I do not think that if I had been inspired by your music or found that group, that this little project of mine would have occured, and then I would have never been able to give all of those people a little bit of unexpected happiness. I know that you will be getting a lot of birthday greetings today, but consider this one from that Everyday Angel, doing it for everyone out there, to form a chain of random acts of kindness. Have a wonderful day. *the mystic angel* Jordana "I'd rather see the world from another angle."-Jewel ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 24 May 2000 04:23:50 PDT From: "Jess Smith" Subject: * Re:PAL Life Uncommon - help from U.S? Hi there everyone! I was a little confused by the following post. I was hoping I could get some help from the American EDAs. I mean, I've heard of both, but i can't say I know what exactly goes on. This is where I was hoping an angel from the US could help me. Are these actual companies or retail stores? I always thought they were just stores, but if so would there be any use in sending them letters concerning possible production of a PAL format video? Do they have anything to do with that decision being made? I thought asking Atlantic directly would have been the best approach. Obviously not according to them. Or, are these actually production companies that would be able to fulfil or request? OK, that's all for now.
