The EveryDay Angels Foundation was formed in 1997 by members of the jewel@smoe.org (aka EDA) list as a way of channeling some "angel energy" into our communities. Since then, the EDAF has organized (or acted as partners with other organizations) many events including beach cleanups, foodbank volunteering, clothing collections, blood drives and walkathons. We also compiled a scrapbook called "Acts of EveryDay Kindness", which contains entries from over 100 EDA's relating stories of charity and volunteer work, and other kind acts. The book was bound and presented to Jewel as a birthday gift last summer. If you'd like to view a JPEG version of the book online, go to the URL: www.edaf.org/kindness/edakbook.html The EDAF has a partnership with Nedra and Jewel's Higher Ground for Humanity charitable organization, including financial and other forms of support for each other's programs (such as an awareness workshop for EDAs last summer in Bearsville NY). However, all our members are "EveryDay Angels" in the truest sense of the phrase!
