Hey all, I was wondering if there are any EDAs in the Dublin area or in Norway. I'm going to be taking a trip to Ireland and Norway in May and I wanted to get suggestions of cool places to go to see local music. Can anyone help??? Thanks, KC Breen ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 12 Mar 2000 21:03:14 PST From: "iris chen" Subject: * Re: break me hi angels, i just listened to break me on juliet's website and it's great! many cheers to juliet for taking the time and effort to do it. juliet, i don't think mr bb was targeting you specifically but rather those people who have the oxygen interview but can't be bothered to transcribe it for the mailing list. but just like mr bb, everyone else has a busy life to get on with outside of this list and jewel so we shouldn't really be irritated that no one has done it. so juliet, don't feel insulted or that no one appreciates what you've done. this EDA certainly does:-) iris ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 13 Mar 2000 17:46:16 +1100 From: Barry Howarth Subject: * Exhale aid for Australasia Hi Angels, A couple of weeks ago I posted about the suggestion that we dub copies of the Exhale video for each other so that lots of people could get to see the show and the dubbing would not fall to only a few. I offered to make copies for people in Australia and New Zealand (and elsewhere that uses the PAL system) if someone in the US would agree to make a copy for me: I can get it converted to PAL and then make copies for EDAs here. I've already been contacted by several people in Australia and New Zealand interested in getting a PAL copy of Exhale. So, I'm asking again if there is anyone with Exhale who would be prepared to make a copy and send it to me here in Australia (naturally I'll provide the blank tape and all postage costs). Here's hoping! Take care, Barry Howarth PS If I had a copy I would certainly volunteer to transcribe it. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 13 Mar 2000 09:47:45 -0800 From: McManamania Subject: * Ride With The Devil Would I be right in thinking that a lot of you haven't seen the film? Well if you get the chance, you definitely should do. Aside from a little segment where the timing seems to go amis, it was a very good film. My offer still stand to help out with it! To my dear neglected and deprived fellow Aussie EDAs! We have suffered. Watching countries receive RWTD in their theatres... (even if it was few and far between), but now........ ...the wait is finally over!!!!!! - well, kind of. We still have a bit of a wait, but at least we know how long. While on one of my many trips to the "Village" web-site to check for a release date for 'Ride With The Devil' - of course expecting to find NOTHING, as usual - I ***finally*** came up with an answer! Is the tension getting to you, yet? To quote directly from the web-site Ride With the Devil Genre Drama Running time 138 mins ***Release Date Thursday, June 22 2000*** Days to Release 100 To see the page that made my heart beat a million miles an hour (well, being the movie buff and Jewel fan that I am, I have been waiting for this for a long time) just go to: http://cinema.village.com.au/include/movie.cfm?FindID=688 OK, I gotta go and calm down! How do I know this ? Because scientific studies have proven that bright lights fool your body into thinking it is time to be awake, and as is evidenced by ducks and other fowl roosting during an eclipse, low light tells you it is time to go to sleep. You might say " It lends itself to soft repose" Definately I think the Angel girl was sweet for building the website though. I hope you guys didn't hurt her feelings. I have a question. I play the clarinet and I would like to play Foolish Games on it. I've found some piano notes on a website, but they are not the melody, (they are the accompaingment, the part the piano plays, not the part she sings) and I would like the part she sings in musical notes. So... does anyone have or does anyone one where I could get the musical notes for Foolish Games? I don't care for what instrument the notes are written, as long it is the part she sings (the melody). I have another question, it's about Dancing Barefoot. I have that song in RealAudio, and I would like to know where she performed that song... Also, I know it's Patti Smith's, but is Patti Smith the one who wrote Dancing Barefoot or was it someone else??? Also, if there are any Spanish speaking EDAs or EDAs from South America, could you please e-mail me (hotelangel@yahoo.com)???
