Heres my 2 cents about the picture. Actually, I was in the crowd about 5 feet away from the photographer. Now that a picture was up from the show I'm gonna share a little about that weekend if ya'll don't mind. :) The Now and Zen Fest from 09-28-99 RULES cause it was my 21 b-day present(Go Speed Racer!) The 5 of us got up there the day before and and we were extremely tired. I personnally had to drive up from San Diego to Los Angeles to crash at an EDAs place the Thurs. night before. Yada Yada Yada...the show was really good. Everybody where I was had a bit of deheidration from not being able to move around in the crowd at all. There were thousands of people at the show. All tired of the sun and the heat. I couldn't move more than 2 feet around me cause if I moved out of my spot, somebody was gonna take it. Being at the stage front, there was alot of competition for space. As the headliner, Jewel and her tour band came out on stage last of the afternoon. I remember precisely what part of her show it was when the picture on the Jeweljk site was taken. It was taken in the first song, Deep Water, and she was mad at the sound guy cause she couldn't hear anything in her right ear monitor. LoL! Didn't thing anybody knew that? :) She didn't mention anything about the shirt or Ty Murray being around. Everybody did notice that Doug soon-to-move-out-of-LA-and-into-SD-cause-he's-always-playing-shows-with-Steve. . Pettibone was topless and sparkeling with glitter from some suntan lotion that had glitter in it. Oh, and she cursed at somebody calling her a sell out after she said something about her and the boys going to a gay bar the other night. She also flicked of somebody in I think Deep Water cause she got hit square in the face with a necklace of Marti Grae beads(unlike previous storys about a frizbee, Jewel didn't get off stage this time). Other than that, the set was pretty typical for a Spirit tour show. :) BTW- Maddy, where are those pictures?
