Is Jewel on this? Answer: No. The only released recording of Jewel & Sarah McLachlan together is a live recording on the "Lilith Fair-A Celebration of Women in Music" album. They both joined the Indigo Girls on "Water Is Wide". During that 1997 Lilith Fair Tour, they would often join the Indigo Girls sets for another song "Closer To Fine", & both would often sing Joni Mitchell's "Big Yellow Taxi" as Sarah's set encore. These can all be found on various TV broadcasts documenting Lilith Fair at the time. But that's the extent of their collaborations. I went to the Star magazine website but couldn't find the pics online anywhere. If anyone happens to have this issue and if this same person also has a scanner, could you PLEASE send me the pictures? I'm going to look in the grocery store tomorrow for last week's issue since the old ones are sometimes left out. I'm sure you all think like me that it would be a great thing to have some Jewel stuffs on dvd :-)) I would love to see the complete Storytellers show on dvd. A lot of us already have a tape of this great show, but in a few years the tape will become bad quality, but a dvd will be extra quality forever, and VH1 aired only a part of the show, and it's really bad we can't see the rest of this show (wouldn't it be great to watch Jewel perform Do you want to play or sibtw ??). so my point is that : if VH1 and Atlantic receive enough requests from us, maybe they'll do it !!! so , angels, all you have to do is to ask VH1 and Atlantic for the complete Jewel-Storytellers on dvd : here are the adress I found but if you know any other way to contact them, please tell us : Atlantic Records C/O Music Marketing Network Red Bank, NJ 07701-8893 USA I couldn't found any real adress for VH1, but some e-mails : try mysay@vh1mail.com or mymusicfirst@vh1mail.com thank you !!!!!! It's our "Guest Artist" pages now saluting one of our favorite bands, Toronto's Cowboy Junkies. Jewel & the Cowboy Junkies actually have a lot in common, besides mutual respect, heartfelt music & great female vocals. They also share a lot of friends & road personel, including live sound & monitor engineers, lighting directors, transportation & other tour management personel. If anyone here has never checked this band out, we highly encourage you to do so! They'll be touring North America again in about a month (see dates link below) & have a great new album out of difficult to find "Rarities & B-sides". Have a look at their feature, listen to some audio & click on over to their site (also a very cool site with some hilarious content as well as info) from the feature on jeweljk.com.The CJ feature is up on lowend & the 800x600 highend version, so everyone can access it. It'll be a little while before it's up on the high res version. Also, & this is specifically directed to new EDAs, we have several previous features within this part of Jewel's site, where you can educate yourself & listen to other great artists you may not be aware of. For instance, you'll hear Steve Poltz mentioned quite a bit on this list & you can get a brief accurate history of Steve here. There's several features including Joy Eden Harrison, a wonderful jazz-influenced singer songwriter whose music developed through the same InnerChange/San Diego scene as Jewel & we also feature Mossy Kilcher, Jewel's Aunt, who recorded a charming double album of original Alaskan folk songs (back in the late 70's) that was an early musical influence on Jewel. So stop by jeweljk.com & enjoy the Cowboy Junkies & these other talented musicians. They've all brought endless enjoyment to me & you may discover something just as enjoyable for yourself!
