We are wrapping up the card project , and a few have suggested we put the names of the authors / editors of the Final Card-Message Draft , --in small print-- on the bottom of the card , along with the artist's signature . A couple of people have said they don't exactly like that idea . But in any case , whether we do put a TINY credits mention on the card or not , we'd like to have a --record-- of who did significant work on it . And that's the reason for this post here . We're having a difficult time getting people to post and remind us of who they are . Only one has so far . There were two ( 2 ) authors of the final message-draft , and about two ( 2 ) who compiled the two separate messages into one and / or edited it a bit before I then took it from there for final editing . One other person contributed to the final editing ( Phillip ) . And of course , we know our one artist , Stephanie . This card is an EDA project. No EDA is superior to the others. So why do we have to give credit to the writers of the message? The cards not from them, its from the EDAs. Giving credit to the artist is one thing. One's artwork is their own peice of work. But a message is a message. And unless its a poem, or a creative short story, whoever wrote it is not important. Its not as if Jewel will look at the card, and say "Oh... John Doe helped write this message. How thoughtful." She doesn't care. What matters is the gift itself. The EDAs are in this equally, and the only list of names that should go on the card is the list of donators. Thats the only thing that matters. Whoever gave a line or two to the message, whoever saw gramatical mistakes and corrected them, It's not important.
