Hey, Well I finally decided to stop being lazy and make my contribution to HGH, well I asked my Mom for her credit card, since I'm not old enough for my own, and my Mom doesn't really want her name on the EDA card. She'd rather mine name on it, and so would I :), but the problem is in the BILLING NAME box I have to put my mother's name, is there anyway to get around this and get my name on the card instead of my mom's? Okay thank you for your time. J ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 2 Dec 1999 20:03:51 EST From: alan@jeweljk.com Subject: * Re: HGH donation problem... Okay thank you for your time Here's what you can do if this situation applies to you. In the name field, in parenthesis put (for EDA-your name) after the cardholder's name. That should do it :-) Alan ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 2 Dec 1999 20:41:48 EST From: alan@jeweljk.com Subject: * MrBB-EDA/HGH total update! Hi all, I'm very happy to report that so far The EDAs have collectively donated a total of $2,659 towards HGH's Clearwater Project. 112 EDAs have contributed as of today. If you want to contribute toward this EDA "Giving Back To Jewel" Project, here's the instructions (below)for your convenience. Your contribution will be added to the ongoing EDA total if you follow these instructions to help us identify EDA donations. Thank you to all who have contributed already! Also, I'll be hangin around San Diego next week & plan on hitting Java Joe's next Thursday (12/9) for Cindy Lee Berryhill's gig & possibly Saturday the 11th for Elizabeth Hummel's gig there. If you're in that area, stop by for some good tunes & to keep me company. ;-) Alan _______________________________ If you'd like to participate in the EDA "Giving Back To Jewel" HGH project, you may contribute directly to HGH/Clearwater either by mail or through the HGH website. You can determine what is most convenient for you. Here are the exact procedures to follow to be counted in the ongoing EDA total. PLEASE, follow these instructions carefully. If you do, we'll be able to periodically update you on how much the EDAs have contributed & provide the "card team" with an accurate list of EDAs who participate. #1-For those who prefer mailing their contribution: You can send a check or money order. (Cash being sent through the mail is not recommended, but you can do it.) Please make any checks or money orders payable to: Higher Ground/Clearwater (Please DO NOT make them out to HGH, EDA Project, Jewel, or anything else!) Please write "EDA" in the memo line & in the mailing address as follows. Mail it directly to HGH at: Higher Ground For Humanity Attention: EDA PMB #302 300 CVD #108A Carlsbad, CA 92008 USA #2 For those who prefer the ease of using a credit card for their contribution: Go to the HGH Website at: http://www.highergroundhumanity.org. At the site is a very simple form so that you can donate with a credit card very easily. Increments of $5, $10, $15 etc are already in a pop-up menu for your convenience. This is also the recommended procedure for all international EDAs wishing to participate. The cool thing about international EDAs using a credit card is that once you choose your amount, it automatically converts your withdrawal at the current exchange rate! Great, huh? If you don't have a credit card, perhaps an EDA (with a credit card) in your country can help you. IMPORTANT: The one thing to remember if you choose to use a credit card on the website form, is to please write "EDA" in addition to your name in the "name" field of the form. Please don't forget this one little thing! The HGH staff processing credit card donations know to look for "EDA" in the name field. If you follow these instructions, your donation will be added to the EDA total & to the list of names we forward to the card design team. Needless to say, everyone on the J-Team, at HGH & Clearwater thank you for being such thoughtful fans. You are amazing! Cheers! Alan PS. Please visit the HGH & Clearwater websites to educate yourself more about their projects. For more Higher Ground For Humanity information, please visit http://www.highergroundhumanity.org. One would think it'd be climbing at least a little bit > after all the promoting she did last week... :-) yep.. it climbed tonnes. It went from 51-43 on the billboard chart selling around 71 000 copies last week.. a fast improvement from somewhere around 40 000 the previous week. hopefully with the reruns of sessions and the other hoards of promotion she has left it'll rise even more in the coming weeks. christmas is upon us.. that should help cya steve ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V4 #720 ***************************
