Subject: * Sessions video and ornament update (a delay) I just got off the phone with the people at JMERCH and was told that *none* of the ornaments have been shipped out yet because there was a delay in getting the Sessions videotapes. They were originally scheduled to be released (only to PBS and Jmerch) on 11/17, but didn't come in until yesterday, 11/30. So, although there was an initial shortage of ornaments, that was never an issue because the videos weren't in yet. Now they have plenty of ornaments, and the videos have arrived, so the orders will start going out today....and everyone whose already placed an order (within the last 2 weeks) should get their's sometime next week. Whether you placed an order on 11/13, or just yesterday, won't matter. You'll still get everything next week. Hope this helps out anyone whose been wondering (like me) where these items are. Oldtime records, called LPs and/or 45s, were recorded on a black (usually black) vinyl "platter". Cutting out a lot of the technical stuff and really simplifying things, bascally they were played on rotating turntables and the music/"sound" was transferred from the vinyl's grooves via a needle on the turntable's arm to the stereo amplifier/receiver and then out to your speakers. From early in this century up until CDs took over the music buying market in the late 1980s, vinyl LPs and 45s were the then equivalent to todays CDs and CD singles. If you are under 20 and have no idea what one looks like, just ask your parents. Jewel did a wonderful job which proves my theory that not even your trusted movie critic agrees with you...guess it was the Jewel content in the movie... However...I was carefully looking and wondering if she's doing a good job and it didn't take away from the movie because like many of the positive reviews on her debut role say that you believed that she's really in the movie and not "JEWEL the singer/songwriter/poet" She's actually part of the cast and not the outsider. note: I hate to bring this up but the breastfeeding scene was actually funnier than sexy..relax people it's just cleavage!! I didnt say that jewel thought that point blank... but when someone is doing something and they enjoy it...it just takes one person... to say one negative comment etc...*(whatever the situation may be ) and that can make her be discouraged...
