I've added the websites and phone numbers that I could find from your list. I couldn't find some of them, so I gave them a place holder on the list. If any other EDAs can help "fill in the holes" on the phone numbers, e-mail addesses for requests or website addresses on any of these stations please e-mail me at tocpe99@mindspring.com If we can concentrate on these stations Charles listed and some of the others on the EDA Airplay list, I'm sure we can make a difference on WSIT's air-time. I was reading the December issue of Seventeen magazine and they have their review of Ride With The Devil! Very short.... Rating: "Take it or Leave it" In this bloody but beautifully rendered war drama, the battlefield is the Kansas--Missouri border during the Civil War. Childhoood friends Jake Roedel (Tobey Maguire) and Jack Bull Chiles (Skeet Ulrich) join in a local guerrilla group making raids on Unioin soldiers. As winter approaches, they hide in a hillside dugout, attended by beauitiful widow, Sue Lee Shelley (Jewel, in her movie debut), but come spring, their lives change forever. Although director Ang Lee (The Ice Storm) briliantly captures a little-known side to this war, the slow-paced story is anticlimactic. Even Jewel's game attempt at acting can't keep the white flag from being raised. That's it! Hope you errr...liked it! I don't particularly but it's another's opinion! If you notice nobody really called Jewel fat at all except those who overreacted and thought somebody was calling her fat, It was a Hope, perhaps misplaced, that jewel might be pregnant. All I have to say is, Since I know you read these jewel(naturally you want to stay in touch with your fan bases communications), Even If you were pregnant We would doubtless believe you still to be the most beautiful celebrity ever. I am certain I can speak for most Angels in this. We will ever love you for your purity and integritys of compassion. Dont worry, You are beautiful yet worrys will wear upon your flesh and soul.it is of course care wears that will give you beautious distinction yet, there are no angels who do not love you, thus worry is unneccasary. We are really not so shallow to judge you upon such things.Love, Deity, angels source Tyler Joseph to Jewel ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 11 Nov 1999 23:39:10 PST From: "Erin Benoit" Subject: * Jewel dusts off gems for Christmas Halo Angels, I feel I must share a few things with everyone: heehee (the Spirit has moved me!) First of all a complaint...I went to my parents house (in a nearby town) to tape the REgis and Kathie Lee performance...I ended up staying up all night in case I fell asleep and missed seeing it (I never thought of watching the tape after...duh!) So I sat through the whole interview with that wrestling guy (I hate wrestling so it was like torture for me...but it was for JEWEL so I did it!!!) Then just as she was going up to sing Silent Night my parents cable shut off...and wouldn't you know it, the minute the show ended it came back on. GRrr!!! That's not the first time that's happened to me either... So I fell asleep and woke up with a headache and was ina bad mood but decided to read the paper. I found the local TV guide and was flipping through to see what was on that night and to my great surprise and enjoyment I see a black and white picture of the cover of Joy: A Holiday Collection. ******* The headline read: "Jewel dusts off gems of Christmas" And the review that followed was this: Jewel; Joy, a Holiday Collection (Atlantic) By: Bruce Mitchell (he has a regualar music column) I'll be getting to a lot more Christmas albums in December but I couldn't keep my ears off this wonderful new release by Jewel. She performs several reverential standards such as O'Holy Night and Silent Night with gorgeous orchestral accompaniment. But Jewel also gets into a playful nonsecular spirit of things with Winter Wonderland and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer while she also offers a breathtaking new version or her last big hit, Hands, as a special Christmas adaption. The gorgeous packaging as well as Jewel's amazing voice here and her big star status guarantees that this will be the hottest selling seasonal release this year. I bet this hits the top 10, possibly the top 5 - maybe numero uno. (4 stars)(I'm not sure out of how many stars though.) ******** Hope this brightens your days...! I think both points are valid, Jewel on Jeopardy, would doubtless shine and be able to Plug HGH to the general public, but a hollywood squares issue would seem rather selloutish, however that isnt so much for charity as is Special episode Game shows so that would look less valid. About Regis and Cathy lee, Guess now they have donated to HGH too! pretty cool to see that though, shows a respect amicable and applaudable. Thats all, angels sorry for the crowding. I just got today a copy of the tape, and i think the songs are just as charming as my dutch angelfood tapes 1 to 4 which are still available for fans. The songs on the Japanese tape are very nice, with one absolute highlight to be honest to be called the Sue Lee song , the song that might have been included on the ride with the devil soundtrack which in the end didn't make it although. Just love the new WSIT video i recently have seen on Talking movies, a BBC World programme. They showed a clip of the new video and i think it's just a fairytale and what an amazing movie ride with the devil will be. In holland i hope that they will release the movie soon. Hey Angels, I am the happiest woman alive!! I was waiting by the radio listening to KISS 108 FM in Boston. You have to wait for Jewel to say, "Hi this is Jewel and you're listening to KISS 108" and then be caller 20 to win tickets to the Jingle Ball on Dec. 15. Well...I had my sister on the phone. She's at work and can't listen there, so she put me on speaker phone, and when Jewel's voice came on I screamed CALL!! Meanwhile, my Mom and I were calling from our house, and neither of us got through. A minute later I hear my sister win from work on the radio!!! WOOHOO!! :) She won a 4-pack of tickets. There is ONE small problem--you have to be 21 for some idiotic reason. I'll figure something out. But sorry to disappoint all of you who are under 21 who wanted to go. And for those of you able to go, if they were my tickets I would bring EDA's, but they are technically my sister's so she will decide who to bring besides me! Ok, well good luck to all trying to win!! - -Nicole:) angel on horseback!! :) :) p.s. Hi , All . I got permission from the post-er , and the Indigo Girls ig-news list , to pass this on ... Date:Thu, 11 Nov 1999 16:06:14 -0500 From:"Lane, Tara E." Subject:[ig-news] Plan Nine X article To:ig-news@smoe.org [Sherlyn's note: This message was originally sent to the Indigo Girls mailing list at netspace.org.] I picked up this magazine today (you can only get it at Plan 9 stores in VA) and thought I'd share this part with y'all, since I really identify, as I'm sure a lot of you do. It's always good to know ya have something in common with the Girls: Amy - speaking of homosexuality in IG songs - "I try to make these points implicitly. Like in "Go", I said, "Did they tell you it was set in stone / That you'd end up alone?" That's something my parents used to say to me all the time about being gay. They thought that heterosexual marriage was the only way to have companionship. * Also, I thought this part was interesting: Amy, on Jewel - "...she's really cool. I think she's super-intelligent, and that might make it hard for her......I had some preconceived ideas of her before we met her, but she really was nice. We jammed with her and she's really talented. We played and she sang off the top of her head for about fifteen minutes, and all the words made sense, you know? That's talent, if you ask me. But I can see how you'd think she's pretensious." Other than that, the article is stuff that we all already know, although, she did say that "Emily always talks about Rites Of Passage being a really important record to her. Rites made a mark on us. It sent us in a new direction, I think" - and I never knew they felt like that. - -------------------------------------------- I thought this was pretty interesting , and pretty positive ! , regarding Jewel . The "Gloria" bonus video on the "Joy" CD was filmed during the recording sessions for the new album back in July (during that break in the US Spirit Tour), not in September at the Sessions show recording studio.
