I know many of us Jewel fans our also fans of new artist Kendall Payne. She played on a sidestage at many of the Jewel concerts during the US tour this summer so some of you might have seen her. She is really great! I met her at one of Jewels concerts and she was really sweet and down to earth. Got an autograph too :-) Anyways, I thought I'd mention that she must be gaining her popularity. Her latest single "Closer to Myself" was played during "Felicity" two Sunday nights ago. It was the part when Felicity was helping Elena move a funky looking table into Elena's new apartment. I saw a commercial for that new movie "For the Love of the Game" with Kevin Costner and "Closer to Myself" was playing again! Then I saw ANOTHER commercial for a different movie (sorry, I cant remember what movie this was) and there was that song again! So look for her! Sometime during the past week, Steve Poltz' good friend, and co-writer of the Rugburns popular song, Hitchhiker Joe, was brutally murdered in southern California. Apparently, Steve Foth, was in Poway, California visiting a friend when he was stabbed in the face, neck, and upper chest then dumped by Lake Hodges, a near by lake in Escondido, California. I attempted to call Steve Poltz to let him know that was sorry about the unfortunate events, but I received a very simple and solemn answering machine message that simple said... "Hello, this is Steve, please leave a message." A very un-normal answering machine message for Steve Poltz.
