["chris braniff" ] * now and zen fest [Fyrfly16@aol.com] * POY, and Jewel merchandise [CaitAdaire@aol.com] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Mon, 27 Sep 1999 16:26:40 PDT From: "chris braniff" Subject: * Re: DSL guitar part copied? yeah they may have the same chord progression but you cannot copyright or own the rights to a chord progression. lots of songs sound similar. all along the watch tower has the same chord progression just a little different timing wise. it could be argued if the exact same picking were used in a song. like say someone released a song with ywmfm's picking there may be problems but these songs are so easy; root root strum over and over. my 2 cents chris ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 27 Sep 1999 22:21:09 EDT From: Fyrfly16@aol.com Subject: * now and zen fest i too was at the now and zen fest. jewel was awsome, as usual. but due to traffic and my inexperiance driving around in san francisco, my friend and i didnt get there until about one oclock and there was no way we were gonna be able to push ourselves up to the front of the stage so we just kinda hung around and listened to the other acts play and they were pretty good....but i was too excited about jewel to pay them much thought. so at about 3:45 cake finished and we went to find a place where we could at leats see the stage. the view was pretty crappy , i could hardly see anything...well no detail. i was hoping there would be some sort of tv screen thing like there was at the shoreline show but there wasnt but i was quite content just hearing her beautiful voice. she did great...the word slip up on foolish games was hilarious...i recall her saying to the audiance..."go ahead you guys sing it cuz sure dont know it" ...it was something like that at any rate i was laughing. she is so funny. and she was telling a story about how she and the band went to a transvestite bar the night before and someone named miss october asked her to play Life Uncommon..so she did. it was a great show. i was hoping she'd come out for an encore but i think her ste went ove time anyway. well she put on a great show nonetheless...oh by the way i was just wondering if any of the eda's who were up close saw the shirt jewel was wearing. from where i was it looked just plain black, but some i heard some people sitting in front of me who had binoculars saying that it had "rodeo whore" written on it in rhinestones..if that is the case i think that is hilarious. she's so great. well i better retire. nicky ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 27 Sep 1999 22:46:14 EDT From: CaitAdaire@aol.com Subject: * POY, and Jewel merchandise I was sitting here.. reading my poy book right?
