I went to see Jewel in Tampa on 8/27/99. I had to wait three years and one month but I finally got see Jewel in concert. After the show I waited 2 1/2 hours to see Jewel.I finallu got home around 3 AM After all that I never got to meet Jewel. If I had I would not ask for an autograph. I hope she'd give me enough time to tell her how much her music has ment to me, and if I was lucky get my picture taken with her. This would take all of 30 seconds and I could prove to myself I wasnt dreaming. And then I went to Wal-Mart to get another tape dubber since our one on the stereo doesn't work anymore and I heard "Down So Long" playing throughout the store. :-) Happy again. Hehe. I can remember seeing the Jewel CD sitting on my brothers bed. I took one look at it, put it in the CD player and I have not stopped listening to and admiring Jewel since. I just got done reading her book, Angels Among Us. Wow, to live in a van and to have a postitive attitude like Jewel did is amazing. I just want to say that Jewel is a human being like us and we would not appreciate getting mobbed by thousands, but give Jewel credit because she has gone out of her way to meet her fans. For the people criticizing Jewel for singing country, etc. Why? If you really like her music it does not matter to me what genre she sings. Her songs will always have good meaning and a great voice.
