I know none of us expect to get replies to fan mail from Jewel considering the number of fans. :-) However, I was curious as to if anyone who had ever sent fan e-mail or mail to her mailing address for fan mail had even received a reply? :-) Just wondering! Hello there EDA's, Just wanted to let you all know the results of the poll I did about who loves Jewel the most of anyone (dare I say loves her beyond our comprehension?). Well, you don't have to wait in agonizing anticipation anymore!!! The results are in. It's ME! It was Unanimous! Of course it was a verbal poll, and I am pretty sure I was the only one around at the time... BUT STILL, I think it is true! Anyone care to elaborate on why they might be better qualifieds to fulfill this honored and elite role? Let me know, and this better be good.. Steve the logos/love angel ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 03 Sep 1999 02:54:26 -0400 From: Steven Eric Romer Subject: * Web Pages / watchtower-Dylan / Rusted Rootwork / reflections Hey all, I have been looking on a bunch of your web pages. Excuse me for being so nosey. They are so interesting though! Thanks to you all for these wonderful resources. Speaking of resources, I don't get MTV!! Can anyone direct me to where on the web I can see the original Jupiter video??? I was suprised at the (real) poll results for favorite songs on both POY and Spirit albums on one of the web pages! I would have thought "Pieces of You" would be #1 and "Hands" would be #1 on the albums, respectively, but then I already knew I was twisted. It was Brett's page I think--check it out. Also, Someone reported that Rusted Root played a cover of "Jimi Hendrix's" "All Along the Watchtower" at a Jewel concert. Now, I know that Jewel loves Bob Dylan, and she would know that it was originally a Bob Dylan song who Jimi Hendrix is covering! It would be better to say Rusted Root did a Bob Dylan song. I must say that I absolutely LOVE the Hendrix version of "All Along the Watchtower"!! Four riders were approaching, and the wind began to howl.... I just received some postcards of the Rusted Root artwork in the mail. I think this is some of the best art I have ever seen. Just had to say that. Ray Man, Heart Man, and the sky logo are my favorites!!! I have been meaning to mention that a highlight of Jewels concert here in Knoxville on the 22nd of Aug. for me was when she sang hands, and finished it with a new chorus of "we are reflections of God". Hearing that sung was worth the price of the ticket. I thought it was wonderful and spiritually uplifting for the people listening for her to improvise the song so beautifully. Felt so personalized and intimate. She is phenomenal. Just had to say that. Anyone else hear this chorus? Maybe it was just me... Wooeeooo! ;-) Anyway, Happy Jewelling, Steve the logos angel ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 03 Sep 1999 03:14:57 PDT From: "The A.H.A" Subject: * noise during Jewel's Woodstock 99 set Hi Maybe Im not quick as the wind with this but... during Jewels foolish games session at Woodstock 99 there is a very disturbing noise in the background as if they were tearing parts of the stage apart or something. It kind of diminishes the magic of the performance. Has anyone else heard this and do you know what happened? btw. who was that lame guy who came in right after jewels main set, a real dork?
