I figured it is getting to be time for another HUGE EDA Gathering in San Diego, so I created one ! This one will make the First Gathering of Angels look like practice ! Once again, it will be a two day event and will be held at two different locations. But this time it will be held at both locations SIMULTAINIOUSLY ! Just a friendly reminder to please help Jewel gain a greater media presence by stopping by the EDA Jewel Airplay List and adding your local radio station to the list so we can get her some decent airplay! In case you're new or missed the last post, I'm Jason and I started a webpage dedicated to insuring Jewel gets more airplay on the radio, MTV and VH1. How does it work? I've taken the airplay request e-mail addresses of radio stations, MTV and VH1 and compiled them into one handy list. All we have to do is once a week (or more if you'd like ;-) ) stop by the site and e-mail each of the sites listed, requesting that they play Jewel's music. If enough of us do this on a regular basis, we CAN make a difference in her media presence. If you have a local station that has a website, no matter where they are, e-mail me so I can add your station to the list. This won't work unless we all get behind it. So those of you always complaining about how Jewel never gets played on your local station, here's your chance to do something about it! Okay, the told me about Jewel's new album that will hit the stores in november ( he told me at the end of november)... So i asked him more, will you release a Jupiter single ? Did he tell me, the video is wonderful but you have to call TMF/ The BOX. So any dutch fans who want to help Jewel gaining popularity in holland are going to help me and phone them up, and ask them to show the video of Jewel Jupiter. I really want to make Jewel more known here at this side of the atlantic, and the attitude of Atlantic label doesn't help that much. So i am calling each Jewelfan in holland to phone the BOX and TMF for the new video of Jewel Jupiter to be shown on tv. I also suggest that every european fan contacts their CONCERT ticket organizers and ask them to bring Jewel to their country. So in Holland for example i will phone up the Mojo concerts Agency , and i will ask them to bring Jewel to Holland. And when they don't respond after the call, than i will phone them up the next day, and the day after that etc.. You can imagine that my passion for Jewel will resist unless we have the succes we want , to see Jewel in concert. So i am hoping to get response from any dutch/european fans. But i also want to ask why MTV Europe is rejecting Jewel so much, they still haven't shown the new video Jupiter. So help me with this good aim to bring Jewel back to the succes she deserves in Europe. I would appreciate all your help and comments. I think this plan would be a huge idea to help Jewel become more known. When we don't try to do something that is the difference, than i guess nobody will be the difference. It would be great if Atlantic records USA or the Jewelteam helps us with this idea . It would be so nice, if the european audiences would have the chance to go to a special European show that is recorded with Jewel and her band. Just likewise the new tape that is recorded in the USA....i wished i worked for a great music TV station in Europe where i could have done some decent Public relations for Jewel. Such a programme would be so cool where european EDA's could meet Jewel in such an intimate venue / studio like the Storytellers for VH1 episode. I really don't know why this couldn't be to be realized. I think it would be a huge help for Jewel in europe to make her some more populair. I think London would be a great setting for this programme, and when MTV Europe do record & broadcast this special show, than i think Jewel is really on the landscape in this part of the Atlantic. So therefore i am calling every european eda, to join the european eda foundation and let's make things happening for us!! i know a lot of you true and dedicated fans would love nothing more than to have such special programmes and meetings with Jewel. I would be delighted if we can force our know-how together and try to share our feelings for the music of Jewel by bonding together and have an impact on the tv. In really no EUROPEAN country she gets attention, or it must have forgotten to mention Spain & Sweden. There has Jewel been flying to to get some media attention, and i think the other european countries really would appreciate she would come to us. Here's some help for people who may need it... a little insight on active list. ICQ has came out with a new ICQ, called icq 99b. You can find out which version you have by going to the ICQ button, then to help, then to about. Most likely, you have 99a. You can download the newest version at http://www.icq.com/download There are instructions to set that up there. After you set up ICQ and get it running... goto the services button then to E-ICQ active List, then click on Find/ add an Icq active list. You can search for a variety of lists on ICQ. If you want the Jewel, you can enter #47622481 or for the EDAs one, enter #47160045. It has instructions on the screens. After that you are done. If you need any help, i'm here to help!
