AUG 27!! Hi everyone, I'm a newcomer. My name is Tiffany and i live in orlando. I have a bit of a ticket dilema here. I am a very big Jewel fan so when i heard Jewel was going to be playing in Florida i was estatic! Well, i got up early to get tickets to the tampa concert and i was 10 minutes late due to traffic! Needless to say i called before hand and asked if anyone was waiting in line, silly me i forgot about all the people waiting in line in tampa! So, when i got there there were only upper level tickets left.. which is ok with me. So, i got 6 tickets. I had 6 people going with me at the time. But they could only give me pairs of 3. They are 3 in the first row upper level and 3 together in the row behind it only 2 seats over. So, anyway the point of this e-mail is.... two of my friends cancelled at the last minute! So, i'm stuck with two tickets.... so if anyone is interested please let me know ASAP! But i would really like it if one of you fellow EDA's has a pair of 4 tickets in a row, i don't care where they are, i would really like to consider a trade.. if you can have any use for the weird seating on my tickets. Because i'm bringing a date and my other friend is bringing a date.. but with the tickets i have somone will be left by themselves!! So, please if anyone can help i would greatly appreciate it... !!! As you can see i'm running out of time! Yeah, that'd be great, 'cause tacking pictures, Jewel for one doesn't like, and it's difficult because of the lighting conditions, it's annoying for anyone near you and it's annoying for yourself 'cause you can't really enjoy the concert to the fullest, if there'd be some decent Videotapes then we could enjoy the concerts again and again, and remember how it was when we went to a Jewel concert :-)) Anyone else think about that way? Hey Angels... I've been thinking -I know very dangerous- since Jewel's movie "Ride with the Devil" is taking forever to come out that it might be planned to come out late to maybe catch a few oscar nods. I know there is a deadline for a movie to come out to get any,and the later in a season you release a film a good chance for it to be fresh in the minds of those who deceide. With Ang Lee the director and it being a period drama (oscar loves period films) there is a good chance for Best Picture and Best Director and maybe Best Actress-- wouldn't that be something? I mean Cher has done it and Bette Midler and I'm sure there has been others but I'm not sure. In any case any would be good. Because of Jewel's envolement in the film any nod would be giving credit to her and shut the critics up real fast!! I've been getting replies to my last post (a different twist on Jewelstock), and people are really interested in it. So here's what I figured: One day (before the millenium) any EDAs with the will and the means of getting over here can flock to Providence, RI. I can most definitely get a theater rented (a small one, most likely. It's like an auditorium), and anyone who wants to can come and share their talents with us. Or, if you feel talent-less, still feel free to come and watch. It'd be like EDAstock or something. But if anyone is definetley interested, I'd appreciate a reply BEFORE September 25. (So I could get a ballpark range.) It'd be really fun to see what people have, and nice to meet new people. Think of it as a cross between an EDA gathering and JewelStock. :) Hope to hear from you! ~Lizzie Lizbo The Quirky Angel ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 24 Aug 1999 10:47:07 -0700 From: "RoseJeide =^-^= Masquerade" Subject: * Yea, JewelStock II Ok, my turn! I think JewelStock II would be a great idea (even if it came about with a fan holding up a sign asking for one at one of her concerts... though that probably won't happen.) There are the downsides, though, such as the nosy media broadcasting it across the nation on Mtv or something like that. So, my suggestion is, at the next Bearsville Reunion, we could invite Jewel and ask her to play. If she says, "Yes," great; if she says, "No," then we could hold a mini-concert amongst ourselves starring the EDA's where everyone plays a couple songs or reads some of their poetry (do we do that all ready? I don't know because I couldn't go to the previous ones due to parental restrictions). Almost like a talent show, only better. I know we have some talented EDA's out there. We could record it, call it JewelStock Angels (or something else) and add it to our angelfood bank. Hello. I've been reading all of the posts about Jewelstock, but it seems like everyone is forgetting one thing: the non-EDA fans! Think of all of Jewel's fans. This could amount to millions. And only 2,000-odd people out of those are EDA's. That leaves a lot of other faithful Jewel fans out, which really isn't fair. And for those who have been saying we need an intimate setting to truly enjoy her music, think about how intimate your bedroom is! Take all of your favorite Angelfood and play it. It doesn't _get_ any more intimate than that!!! : ) I would be ecstatic if there was another Jewelstock, but I wouldn't be able to go, as would many other EDAs.
