Even if we aren't able to have an other Jewelstock, which, btw, I think would be great if we did, but if we couldn't, we can always try. Jewel even said on Storytellers something along the lines that us EDAs keep her going (remember she mentioned the Thanksgiving letters from us...). And even if she's too busy touring and what not to be able to put together Jewelstock '99, (or whenever) at least she'll know that we are still supporting her the way we always have. And that would probably mean a lot to her. I say we should try, because if we succeed at it, it would be great! But if we don't it still we be worth while. Myself personnally, I joined on in the following months after Jewelstock back in late '96(I know that my first post wasn't until March of '97 Mike :-) There isn't any real reason why or why not Jewel hasn't done a second Jewelstock other than that it's up to Jewel when and where to do it. A good reason that it would be tougher to do the shows again is how much the EDA community has grown in the past 2-3 years(its up to about 1,300 right?) and location of a venue like that of Bearsville Theater would be a bit difficult to fit a couple hundred EDAs. I wouldn't loose any sleep over not getting a second Jewelstock. We have had plenty of Living Room Concerts and EDAF sponsered programs to keep us volunteering and busy. See you So. I'm agreeing with whoever said (sorry, I forget names very easily!) that Jewelstock was more about EDAs getting together. While I may not live in upstate NY, I do live in upstate Rhode Island, and, (because of my age which I am not ready to reveal), I have never met another EDA face to face. What many people don't know about Rhode Island is that it's capital (Providence) is theater MECCA. Along with a Dunkin' Donuts on every corner, there is also a theater or two. They are always up for rent for parties, concerts, etc. What I do know is that there are plenty of EDAs out there with some sort of musical talent. (Yer talkin to an EDA who plays 5, count 'em, 5 instruments and whose voice has been mistaken for Jewel's! :) ) What my point is, any EDA who is interested, e-mail me. What I had in mind was sort of an open mike night for EDAs who are willing to travel the distance. I know it won't be EXACTLY like Jewelstock, but it would be something close and very worthwile.
