I had one but it got deleted. I got a very good respone, but I still haven't found anyone who has (or knows someone who does) the Columbus show. So I am asking again. I have lots of angelfood to trade with and Dpictures of the Cincinnati show. Why, in live versions of "Deep Water," are the opening lyrics "When you find yourself falling down / Your hopes in the sky but your heart like grape gum on the ground / And you try to scrape yourself up / But you keep seeping out like cheap gin through a broken cup / And you try to find yourself / In the abstractions of religion and the cruelty of everyone else," but in the album version, the lyrics are "You find yourself falling down / Your hopes in the sky but your heart like grape gum on the ground / And you try to find yourself / In the abstractions of religion and the cruelty of everyone else / And you wake up to realize / Your standard of living somehow got stuck on survive"? I get the feeling that the live lyrics were the original lyrics and were changed slightly for the album, but even now Jewel sings it with the "cheap gin through a broken cup" lyrics. Strange for me, but I have had a life..... Anyway, I was looking through the posters at Walmart, and for once found a poster of Jewel for about $3.95.. I can't remember which one it was (it was really late and I had not slept in awhile) The big deal about this? Back "in the day" before I was an EDA (well, i knew about the EDAs, but was like, "I have her CD, why do I need to be an EDA" (needless to say, I missed out on much!!!!!) anyway, like I was saying, back in 96 I used to always check the posters out in walmart, Hastings, etc look for Jewel, but alas, I would never find any... well three years later I have!!!!! Of course, now I am a gypsy and move around alot, so I have no walls to pin it on, but still, my quest is complete! Okay, enough babble...... Texas EDAs, I miss ya'll, and I am looking forward to the next get-together, though likely I am going to miss the Houston thing, as that I am saving money for a few minor things.... anyway, everyone take care Rowdy ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 21 Aug 1999 19:51:50 CDT From: "Brian H" Subject: * NJC: FTE list help Ok, I'm asking this here because I know that there are some people on the FTE list. Hello Angels! Many EDAs have asked about the ActiveList on ICQ. To join it you MUST have the new version of ICQ, which is ICQ99b. You can find it at: http://www.download.com I had to change the ActiveList ID number, because for some reason angels couldn't join that ID number. So the ID number that is working is 47160045 not that other ID that I posted yesterday. Please feel free to join! You'll be able to chat with others EDAs, and many more!! Take Care of each other! She should have played at the Boathouse where it is smaller and inclosed. You could really feel the music there. There was an article in the paper about the show and it said that Jewel shouldnt be playing such large venues...I dont think so either. There were 8,202 people at my concert last night(I checked the ticket count at work today while I was counting tickets for the Isley Bros.).
