Hello Jewelfans, I received just from a fan who i did a favour the videotape of Jewel on Vh1 Storytellers. And i was completely overpowered by the songs Jewel sang and the stories she told to the audience. I think this was truly great to be part of the audience there and watch Jewel sing & talk. The story about Jewel and Steve in Mexico really remind me of the many concerts that i have been seen in Europe. Jewel really gave the power to the story and when she started to play the song by her own i was competely overwhelmed. I loved the Hands dedication to her Grandfather Yule, i never thought Jewel could do so nice imiations of the voice of her grandpa. That was truly magnificent. I think Jewel was very much at ease with her fans in the studios. The atmosphere must have been very special, and i think it is one of the most to be watched shows by me!!! I think the making of the video was truly magnificent as well, i never realzied that there would be so many setups for the making of Jupiter. I think Jewel looked wonderful and the director Matthew Rollston did a great job. The song is truly amazing.. Just wanted to share my dutch opinion about the wonderful and fantastic Vh1 Special Storytellers where Jewel featured in lately. Have a nice day. After I posted my story on the Camden show (8/4) I forgot to mention something that to me was pretty exciting!! Over a month ago, I posted my little story on how I went to this Vintage shop on South St. in Philly and there on the wall was Steve Poltz autographed picture! The owners know him well and they had a shirt hanging on the wall behind the counter. They said they were holding it for him the next time he comes to town. Anyway, when I was there, I took a picture of this shirt as well as the picture on the wall. When I was at the concert, I noticed he was wearing THAT same shirt!! When Steve got on stage he says to the crowd "Hey does everyone like my new shirt, I got it at this cool little vintage shop on south st." Then he says: "After that I went to eat at Jims Cheestakes across the street from that shop, you should all check that place out" Well, I was pretty excited!!!! :-) The day that I was there (it was in July) I even had lunch with my friend at Jims cheestakes! Preeetty kewl!! Aaah, if only I knew to hang out all day before the concert on South St to just run into Steve!!! My friend Eric (crashboy), he went backstage and told me that the two people who works at that vintage show was backstage with Steve too. The one girl actually used to date Steves old road manager named Chris. okay maybe this isnt as exciting for some of you so SORRY!!! But to me its kinda exciting.
