All those tabs are STOLEN from my page, I´m the one who picked them out, I´m the one who´s worked with them for months. I just looked at it, my name is still there . Ola Svardh. Someone asked me a few weeks ago if he could use them on his site. I said NO, he could link to my site but not use them on his cuz I´ve worked with them too long. He asked, I said no. I know most of you don´t care about this but it´s pissing me off. Once again, they´re STOLEN from my page. I picked them out for everybody else on the net, but when you want them I want you to go to my page cuz that´s where they´re suppose to be. MY site got all songs from Spirit. 5 from Pieces of you and 14 non album. I´ve picked them out myself. I´m gonna put more songs on the soon as soon as I got the time to do it. I got songs by Sarah Mclachlan (2), Steve Poltz (3), Steve Earle (1), Goo Goo Dolls (1), Ben Folds Five (1). ....more. If you read this who stole them. And if it´s you who asked me if you could use them. I said no, so I want you to remove them from your site. Please, this is really really really sad. What´s happened with the world. I thought fans of Jewel could be trusted. For you´ve read this, thanks for taking time to read it and a question. Does anyone know where I can download songs with Liz Phair. I´m not sure that´s her name but something like that. Thanks Ola Svardh / Sweden www.angelfire.com/de/jeweltab or surf.to/jeweltab same page. This was "Love Me, Just Leave Me Alone" The concert was absolutely amazing. Jewel was funny and her voice sounded incredible. I was so glad that she sang "Down" and "Sometimes it Be That Way." Did anybody else notice that she said Down is a new song? And WWSYS was awesome too. She was dancing a lot in the beginning of it - you can hear us giggling on my recording because she looked really cute. And she told a story I havent heard about an interview in Germany - had the whole audience laughing. Her encore was absolutely beautiful. I was so happy she sang my favorite song off Spirit - Absence of Fear. And of course Angel Standing By. And if anybody was listening to Z100 at around 1am or 1:30 and heard people screaming about how great the concert was, that was my friends and I! Omigod I can't wait til tonight...we're going to see her again. And Steve was great too, though I was hoping that they would sing Impala together. I know everyone keeps talking about how Jewel has changed and blah, blah, blah. But I really believe that she has grown tremendously as a performer. I went to 3 of her concerts when she was on her last tour in 1997, and I enjoyed all of them of course, but they really can't even compare to last night. She has such wonderful presence and variety. And she still did a large portion of the concert alone with her guitar - still my favorite part. If anybody wants to send tapes so that I can copy mine or wants to trade for other angelfood, let me know and I'll do my best though I already have 3 requests. The recording sounds pretty good. Chrissie P.S. - Does anybody going to the Camden, NJ concert know how big that theater is? I want to go to it, but the only tickets I can get now are all the way in the back. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 24 Jul 1999 21:10:13 +0200 From: "michiel" Subject: * NJC Steve poltz lyrics requested hello Jewelfans and i think Steve poltz fans too :-) Does somebody know the lyrics of the Steve songs : Gold gym's guy Lockjaw I love you Little red corvette Starwars song and Waterfalls Maybe somebody has transcribed them or translated them for us fans. i know all these songs, but i still have trouble writing down the words when they sing them. Ok before i go into that, I am going to start off with the pre concert review. As you know we planned to have a pre-concert picnic for the EDAs attending and get together a massive amount of cans for the food drive. I got to the spot at around 645 and no one was there so I decided to walk around a little. That is when i found Amy (the raindrop angel) and 2 friends. She quickly joined our group and we began conversing. Amy had spotted an EDA in and HGH shirt with a bunch of cans. So whoever this disappearing angel was, I wish that you would have found our group! Amy and I then started to walk around hoping that someone would notice our EDA shirts, but our attempt was unsuccessful. As we are sitting, Kelli (the city angel) and Adam I believe his name was come up to us. They were both really interesting and I greatly enjoyed spending time with them. We read a little of Amy's poetry which was wonderful and then decided that we must do an EDA poetry reading session of some sort in the not so distant future. We delivered our cans to the ever so grateful food bank. Then we went into the theater. Kelli got stopped and held up because her camera had a zoom lens on it, so that is when we lost her. I hope that you had fun abd it was really great meeting you! As for the rest of the EDAs that were supposed to meet us, where were you guys? Anyway, we go in...and Amy was sitting pretty close to us. We listened to Rusted Root, who did a great job and had us dancing in our seats. But my attention is immediately drawn to the side of the stage. There's a girl standing there with blond hair pulled back in a ponytail wearing a tank top and jeans. She was somewhat standing behind the curtain on the side but from my angle I could see her and when they were done she left. I could've sworn it was Jewel because it looked just like her, but I was somewhat thrown off due to the fact that her hair was up. Then Steve came on. He didnt have anyone come up to the stage and drink wine with him, which kind of disappointed me. He said he liked the cameras and had everyone take a picture of him at the same time...and then said that maybe he'd let everyone take a picture of his butt later. He finishes his set, starts pulling down his pants, tells everyone to take a picture at the count of 3, and moons the entire audience! It was hysterical, and we got pictures to prove it! Then Jewel comes on and starts singing Near You Always. This was my first Jewel concert and I was in the 9th row center, great seats, she was absolutely beautiful. For those of you who really want to know she was wearing a short suede skirt with rhinestones, a long sleeve cardigan with slits up the sleeves, had one button, but wasnt revealing. The way she made the outfit was conservative gone sexy if you can understand that one. Her presence on the stage was amazing. It was a very powerful and moving experience. She told the story about the German reporter and at the end of it said "I didn't mean it to be funny ha ha but more like funny Isn't it ironic." She sang isn't it ironic which was really funny. Amy and I screamed out EDAs love you Jewel before she started a song and while she was just conversing with the crowd. She says back to us, "I love you too, baby," which was really cool because she didn't say anything back to anyone else. Barcelona was really moving with the lighting, everyone cheered during life uncommon. I liked the new Jupiter, and i know we are all going to request it until the DJs feel that they need to put call block on our phone numbers. Foolish Games was emotional. She also told the story about Steve not liking the line "I break the yolk and make a smiley face" in YWMFM, and yes she forgot the words while singing with Steve...she forgot "I called my mama she went out for a walk." And she was laughing asking Steve what it was and he yelled it at her. She started hysterically laughing and she barely made it through the song without laughing. Steve and her were so close during the song it was so cute and he gave her a little kiss on the cheek. She played Sometimes It Be That Way, not trying to pawn it off as a new song, but just saying most of you dont know this song, and me and amy are screaming, we do we do! She also played Grey Matter, the Cold Song, and Morning Song. I loved it when she played all of these by herself with the guitar. They played a really great rocking version of Down So Long, this new song called Do You Want to Play which I really liked. Then she told people to come up to the stage and i got right at the center. She played Down, Love Me Just Leave Me Alone, and that really extended version of WWSYS. It was really great when her and Doug had that little contest on who could match who's voice! She was about 2 inches away from me during so much of this segment...so close in fact that i realized she hadn't shaved her legs above her knee for the concert. I just found it kind of funny, and I was seriously that close that I could see it. Then the band threw out picks and drumsticks. Amy caught a drumstick, go Amy! Then Jewel came out for her encore. She went through the crowd and grabbed the hands of all the people on the other side of me. I was really jealous. She sang a very moving Absence of Fear, very close to the crowd, as Steve, her piano player was playing in the background. When she finished, she grabbed the hands of all the people on my side and Amy and I were flipping out because we got to touch Jewel. Then she sang Angel Standing By, with me screaming you're an angel standing by as she played the first chord and then tuned the guitar accordingly. Everyone around me was looking at me like what is this girl talking about. Then she said that she believed in angels and began playing. I think this song is so beautiful and her voice is so beautiful during it. Then the concert was over. I was kind of disappointed that she didn't do Chime Bells before because I really wanted to hear her yodel live. Oh well. As we are walking, we walk past the backstage pass area and see Doug Pettibone standing outside talking to people and signing autographs. I went up to him and got his autograph and I asked him if he had anymore picks left and he gave me one, which was really cool. Then we went to go buy tshirts and Amy and I said goodbye and we were on our way home. The whole evening seemed like a dream in an enchanted world. It was one of the most amazing nights of my life, and my first Jewel concert defenitely went above and beyond my expectations. Jewel's presence on stage is very powerful, and I do believe that she is an angel singing to all of us. I am still in awe and very sad that the night is over, can't wait to take some of my friend's pictures and see my next Jewel concert. For those of you who haven't seen Jewel on this tour yet, you are in for something really special!
