It was really great of all of you who stopped and helped when we were broken down on the side of a road a couple of times. And even a bigger thanks for those of you who squeezed me and Kelli into your cars to help us get home last night. I can't express how appreciated it is. You guys really are too good. Your act of kindness will definately not go unappreciative. As of now my car is in a shop in Kingston, NY and I'm waiting for an update to see what exactly is wrong with it. I know that someone brought up before that Jewel was going to be judging poems in a contest for alloy. Well I got my new catalog today and it has about half a page on the contest, with a pic of Jewel. Alloy is also offering a deal to get a journal for free if you buy Spirit or A Night Without Armor. If anyone wants to see this ad, email me. I'll scan it in and then send out a big email tomorrow afternoon with it attached. - -Jen ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 19 Jul 1999 13:38:17 EDT From: ShagDRtn1@aol.com Subject: * NJC: Ride desperately needed to Tweeter Center show If anyone in the Auburn, Maine area is going to see Jewel at the Tweeter Center on July 27 and has an open seat in the car, please contact me at ShagDRtn1@aol.com. I love Jewel's songs (it's Deep Water the CD plays right now :-) and I already looked up some related sites back in those ancient net-cafe times. One of the bests I saw was Michiel van Gorkum's Jewel Impala with 117(+?) songs' lyrics (there also are poems, disks you can buy and much more there). "Jewel - foolish games" is also great and here's something that I found at http://jewel.zoonation.com/jlyrics.htm: > Pieces of Jewel Lyric Archive is a downloadable songlist of all > known transcribed songs that Jewel has written or performed. The archive file is http://jewel.zoonation.com/jlyric.zip, and it's about 61k. Jewel Impala: http://members.xoom.com/_XOOM/Jemlist/lyrics/frames.html Jewel - foolish games: http://home.student.utwente.nl/j.houwing/ I hope I could help. As you all know there are four tapes right now from her tour in Europe and you can get them by emailing me and than we will work out how we can help eachother in the best way. In the history of the Jeweldigest you can read the setlists of the tapes, and anyone who is interested may feel free to email me about those. I hope we will continue sharing the wonderful music of Jewel with one another. In the end only kindness matters. Where are you?? I know quite a few people are getting frustrated waiting for their stations to play "Jupiter".. Well, you all might want to actually call the stations and ask if they plan on adding "Jupiter" to their playlist anytime soon.. A lot of stations gave up on Jewel (at least temporarily) when DSL didn't do as well as they expected and they aren't playing "Jupiter" until they're sure everyone else is playing it.. What should you do? Call up all of your friends and tell them to call the radio station and request it.. If there's enough requests, they will likely slowly add the song to the playlist.. I know this because my sister's friend works at the local station and she knows all about this kind of thing..
