Wow. It's already time for the Bearsville campout this weekend. If you are sitting on the fence as to whether you should go or not, get your butt on the going side NOW! Shane Kilcher (Jewel's brother and HGH representative) will be there, and he most definitely gets the Harris Seal of Goodtimes Approval (tm) as an interesting guy to hang out with. He has LOTS of stories, and seems to enjoy telling them immensely! (Who does THAT sound like, hmmm?) In addition to the Saturday morning HGH meeting and the picnic they're generously providing, there will be all the usual EDAs and some new ones as well. This message is mainly directed to EDAs in the Northern California, USA area....I sent it to the NoCal list, but in case there are some who are not yet subscribed, I thought I'd send it here too...=) What a beautiful day, huh? Well, for those of who who may not know, I sing and have an original band called Sweet Duration with my friend Mike who plays acoustic guitar. We performed at the SoCal EDA Gathering of Angels concert in San Diego and Irvine June 26th and 27th. Again I would like to say thank you for the warm response we were given by all. WELL, for those of who not too far from the area, we will be performing tonight (Friday) and tomorrow night (Saturday). Tonight we will be in Mountain View at the Sports Page, which is on Shoreline Blvd, right next to the movie theaters and the Shoreline Amphitheater. My good friend Mo's band called Fringe is the main act, and I will be either opening for Fringe or playing in between their sets. The show is from 9:30pm-1:30am. Those of you who were at the Gathering of Angels met Mo, he was my friend who came to the gathering with me. Fringe is awesome, they have great original song and do alot of great covers as well, like Hootie and the Blowfish, Matchbox20, Bon Marley, Johnnie Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Green Day, Cake, etc. They really rock the house, and Mo's voice will blow you away. And I occasionally get up their and sing backups/harmonies with them as well! =) Saturday night, tomorrow, we will be in Santa Clara at a place called McNeil's. It is on the corner of Liely Blvd and Homestead, right next to Kaiser Hospital. The show will be the same, I will be playing in between their sets, probably twice, and the show is from 9:30pm-1:30am as well. If anyone is interested in going, and needs more information, you can page me, because I will not be checking my e-mail again today, although I will probably have time during the day tomorrow.
