Now, I know that we are already a ways into the North American Tour, but what I thought I would do was make a place on my website that will list what people are going to what concerts so you can easily contact people. Ok, just fill out this form and send it to lifeuncommon@hotmail.com NOT the address I am writing you from now. Be sure that the subject says "CCP: (and then place the city of the concert that you will be attending). Ok, so here is the form: Name: Concert City: Concert Venue: Concert Date: Your Seating Area: Email Address: Just send that to lifeuncommon@hotmail.com and it will appear on my website http://get.to/lifeuncommon as soon as possible. I will make a post once it is up and running. I will be accepting emails and updating as much as needed though so if you read this late it is ok. Have a good day! ;o> ߮I@N "The Jelly Doughnut of an Angel" halaasb@hotmail.com <-- To contact me personally lifeuncommon@hotmail.com <-- Contact regarding Life Uncommon ICQ: 40694569 AIM: brianh5036 http://get.to/lifeuncommon ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 12 Jul 1999 22:42:03 PDT From: "Kyle Adema" Subject: * Jewel on SNL This happens to fall conveniently between Jewel's Today show concert and Woodstock concert, she is scheduled to be on Saturday Night Live next saturday (7/24). RockOn TV has it listed as a repeat, so I assume it's the famous skirt debate '98 performance. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 13 Jul 1999 00:19:24 EDT From: STePhNLeO7@aol.com Subject: * I need some help Sorry if I sound so naive, but I am completely new to all of this. Thank you, Stephanie. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 13 Jul 1999 01:10:15 -0500 (CDT) From: Tien Dang Subject: * Jewel Show in Houston Hey EDAs I couldn't go to the gathering Derrick and the others were planning bucause i was moving stuff to my new house. I got done doing that at about 6:30 and it takes forever to get to the Woodlands from where i live. I get there around 8:10 or so. It is POURing raing right about then so i sit in the car with my little brother whom i took along for the show. It's finally 8:25 or so and my brother and i finally get in teh pavillion. We didn't see any of STeve's set. :/ I decide then to find some EDAs. So I'm walkin along and see SEAN (derricks cousin). I haven't seen him in 2 years since rockfest but we immediately recognize each other. I talk with him for a bit and we go to Our Seats to see jewel's Set. Derrick and SEan were way up in front while i was way in the back. I was so far away that it SUCKed. heh :P I couldn't see much at times cuz there was a huge 6'8", 300+lb person sitting right in front of my brother and I. Just before jewel starts her set. I see some redheaded girl wearing some wings. I was thinkin to myself. That's an EDA. I know it is..those nutty EDAs heh ;P I later find out it's Luna. heh. It was just good to be there and finally get to see jewel again. Jewel put on a pretty good show. Lots of dancing by her which i have never see before. I was like "LOOK she's dancing" heh She sang her usual songs with some new countrylike song. I don't even now the title. What a bad EDA i am :P She told the marijuana YWMFM story which lasted pretty long. It was cool to hear it live. It was really cool when she sang SIBTW. I love that damn song! She sang chimebells for the encore. As she was yodeling i was yelling "FASTER" like every EDA should :P It was a damn good show now that i think of it. My little brother even liked it. He laughed when she was telling the stories and kept on saying jewel is pretty damn good durin the show. He really doesn't listen to music like Jewel's. He's a big marilyn manson fan and so am I. He wore his manson shirt to the jewel concert :O heh. Well...I think he's beginning to like Jewel now (even though i've been blaring jewel's music over the past years to him) cuz i saw him today on a jewel website heh. He really liked the jewel show. It's quite different than the manson concerts that we go to. After the show we meet up with derrick and SEAn. Then we see amber and mindi? then comes along luna, amy, the infamous dennis harris, amias, and the guy from paris (i forget your name...) heh. When i first saw dennis i was thinking to myself, "What' happened to his hippie hair and beard?, IS this really dennis?" heh ;P We go to Denny's and they eat as i drink my water. heh :P After that is all done with. We go back to the HOtel and rope that damn plywood cow. hahaha. It's damn funny. Dennis is a nut, who is damn freaken funny. heh. He taught my brother and i how to rope the cow. AFter millions of tries i finally rope woody the plywood cow. Dennis even gave us "woody" buttons to wear. i was like hahaha. that's damn funny. LUna then breaks out her guitar and sings some Jewel songs. Luna has a very pretty voice and she plays the guitar really well. When she was singing. I was like :O...damn.she sings really well. We hang out with them at the hotel until 2am or so, Which was as fun as the jewel concert. I really mean that. We say our goodbyes and leave. I got a hug from luna and even a hug from dennis. I think he took my wallet cuz i can't really find it now :/ hehe ;) EDAs are such great people. They are damn fun and crazy to hang around with. I"ve met alot of EDAs in my time on the list. All have been great ppl. I hope to meet many more of you soon! TAKe care EDA in Houston who still is moving stuff to his new house :P Tien "Without you....Everything falls apart Without you....It's not as much fun to pick up the pieces"-NIN ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 12 Jul 1999 23:57:20 +0000 From: "Ziebell Family" Subject: * Really late post on SD and Red Rocks So... Chula Vista, It was a great first time jewel extravaganza. I went to the gathering and the concert and was really tired because i live in Arizona. Jason Maraz was really incredible and the rest of the crew was quite intertaining also. At the SD concert i took 39 pictures... out of controle right, not likely. Jewel deserves every one and more. Thank you to Jason V. who was especially nice in my forign environment, that is San Diego. RED ROCKS, Was twice the concert that SD was... no offence. Some how i got incredibly lucky because the same week that my family reunion was being held was the same glorious week that Jewel was playing in the same state, COLORADO. The crowd in colorado was so enthusiastic and Jewel did a much better set, with the German reporter story and the FIRST POETRY READ ON THE WHOLE TOUR!!! Red Rock is in itself an incredibly beautiful venue and more layed back experience than COORS. HERES THE STORY... i get there with my recorder and camera packed in my cargo pockets. the walk up seems like a mile because the amphitheatre is way up inside a hill of rocks. on one side there is about 500 stairs to get to the top. But the side I went on was a huge lengthy ramp. When i did get to the entrance there were people searching everyone geting in. So i verry casually put the recorder in my sock not thinking that the girl would search that low... But she DID! She yells out, "We've got Audio!" and i retreat down to the Parking Lot 1000 feet below to a port-a-jon where i proceeded to strap the recorder to my persons using the external mic weaving it in and out of my boxers for a snug fit. It took a verry long time to get it just right. So now 30 min. later i hobble up to the front gate again, walking like i have a fake leg or something and when i get there the lady doesn't even search me, she only says, " did you get rid of the audio." Of course i said "YA" After i got through, there was a couple of cops and a whole lot of stairs so i pretended to reach into my cargo pocket about every 10 seconds to re-arange the recorder that was about to fall. When i was almost to the top it did fall out and skidded across the ground to make an embarassing sceen, i picked it up and shoved it into my pocket. Finnally I got in and sat down, Recorder in hand, to an amazing show that i will never forget. At the end i saw her walking to her limo with a beautiful grey wool sweater on. AND i have it all on tape. Oh ya Steve had a really great set also, with a little ditty on this girl who he invited on stage because she had freckles. (She slamed the first glass of wine he gave her). AND also i forgot Jewel talked about how Steve yelled at her in Mexico because, "...Break the yolks and make a smily face..." was a chick lyric (Jewel is a chick) and he came up with, "stab the yolk with my manly fork, I can't believe that she's taking me to court." LOL. LATER! Nate "The angel that skates the market" ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V4 #400 ***************************
