Because I know something the rest of you probably never thought of. I've figured out how Britney beat Jewel. You see, you all have heard of britney's implants, right? (if you haven't, or even if you have, go here: http://www.geocities.com/southbeach/pointe/8401/britneyimpla.html ) Well, britney got mad and BAM! Jewel got whacked over with britney's new DD's and was knocked unconcious, and had to be taken to the hospital. she has suffered a concussion, but is fine now. britney had a little shifting with the plastic, but is fine. and her retainer? in the trash, where its been for a longggggg time. smile always, carolyn the banana-peeling-with-her-toes airhead angel who's seeing jewel on 8/4 in camden! oh yeah baby you know it! === How can it be you're asking me to feel The things you never show - -Backstreet Boys, Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely Visit my webpage at: http://www.geocities.com/SouthBeach/Pointe/8401/ IM me sometime! My wife can't go , and I don't have any friends willing to go 4 hours to see Jewel:( At any rate, they are awesome tix, and I wanted to give EDA's a chance at them before I called the ticket agencies to sell them. They are Section 204 Row A Seats 41 and 42. This is about 26 rows back. They cost $82.80 for two, but if you want them, I'll pay the postage to you. Let me know if you're interested. All you can get at this point are seats in the 400 sections, so if you have even thought about going, this is your deal. And it's been so long that I forgot what the songs submitted sounded like. We have some *very, very* talented EDAs on the list. Everyone who submitted did an amazing job. This tape is going to be so powerfully strong. I know you all will enjoy it. Hopefully, we will be able to tree it by a week. I apologize for the delay. Although if you look at the bright side, the group isn't close enough to do organized projects and after a year and a half with nothing new, we finally have a product that we can enjoy. So it's like it was saved for us to enjoy at a later time. Just a thought. Sure, we could have had it a year ago but then we'd have nothing to look forward to today! :-D - -- Mark ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 29 May 1999 21:22:09 PDT From: "Jennifer McBride" Subject: * Jewel Quote in a movie & MOM II Hello Beautiful Angels, I was watching the movie "Can't Hardly Wait" with Jennifer Love Hewitt on video last night, and I noticed something really cool....in the beginning, when they are introducing all the main characters, and they do a freezeframe close-up of each character and surround it like a yearbook shot. When they do Jennifer Love Hewitt's character, they list all the activities she had been in, and honors received during her high school years, and at the bottom they list her favorite quote, it says: "I'd like to see the world from a different angel", Jewel Kilcher. I thought that was really cool that they used her quote in the movie as the main character's favorite to live by! Other things: Can anyone please explain to me what the MOM II CD is???? I see all these posts about people saying that she is on it, etc, etc. What is it???? A movie soundtrack or something? Please tell me!! Stressful at times sure but fun non the less. I have been recieving tons of "thank yous'" in both email and with just about every check that i recieve in the mail. It really is me that should be thanking all of you for this opportunity and sticking with me through it all. And well most of all, trusting me to do it. That tells me alot about the Angels out there...it tells me that you all can trust someone you don't really know. You can put faith in someone that you have no reason to put faith into. To me that is what life is about. It isn't that you are even taking a risk at all when it comes to sending me the money, it is just about the trust. I have a few people to thank for this, even though the whole project isn't over with yet, I am sure I will thank more when it is over and done with and I sure would like to do it again some time. So here is the special thanks. Scott Evans: This person comes to mind first because I had lost faith in the fact that I would get to do the project and I thought that everyone had forgotten about it but then Scott started the 1999 Jewel Web Awards and my Site was nominated for 3 of the 5 categories. This told me that you all pretty much really like my site. It gave me the motivation to really want to see the project get started. I hope I win at least one of the categories :-) Mike Connell: Well of course Mike has to be included... I couldn't have started it without his advice, or consent for that matter. He checks all of our posts ya know and he wouldn't let me post till i was considered a trust-worthy guy. We have talked on the phone quite a bit and we have learned alot about each other. So Mike, thanks for all the advice and guidance so far. Jennie Anderson: Jennie and I go to Purdue University together and we havent even met yet but she gave a good recommendation about me to Mike so that I could start the project. Jennie and i will meet each other eventually and maybe we will get to know each other pretty well but for now we talk through email often and I just want to thank her for the support (even though she doesn't want to buy a t-shirt, hehehe) All the EDAs that joined the project list: Back in Feburary when the t-shirt project started and everyone took me on as the "leader" of the project right from the start. I know i kinda just grabbed the postion but that is the kind of person I am..if I see much isn't getting done then I jump right in and make it my business to help out in everyway I can. i am just happy everyone welcomed me to the group rather than getting pissed that I wanted to see things get done. I know I have so many more to thank for the support in the project but it is about midnight at my house right now and well I am just plain tired :-) so just a few more things: Dont forget that June 15th is the last day I am excepting orders for the EDA T-shirt '99 and I need at least 80% of the checks by that day as well. On the 16th I am going to the company where the shirts are being made and i am paying for a large order of 70 shirts or more which obviously means I have to have all the money deposited and cleared before I go to the company. So everyone get in those orders and get the money off to me as quickly as possible. Sometimes the wonder of the Internet makes such huge rumors seem false.. I saw her on the Rosie show the other day singing "Sometimes" and there was absolutely no growth in her chestal region. So i shall say she's as natural as Jewel is.. and I don't think there should be such a big discussion as "Britney vs. Jewel" because it's kind of slandering against other Jewel fans' tastes on this list.. and it's incredibly immature.. If you think about it.. it's so terribly easy just not to say anything at all. This wednesday my journey to see jewel started out very well...Lotti and i travelled again to the beautiful city of france Paris...it was a 4 hour traintrip to the capitol of france... firstly we had to collect her ticket and it was no problem to get one. It was a warm day and we dropped our package at the hotel..It was only 2 minutes away from the Venue.. In france the venue was really beautiful because they have been using red letters outside mentioning that night Jewel and steve were going to play their great songs.......We decided to walk to the special artist entrance and we decided to wait a little bit to look for Jewel and try to give her our dutch birthday present..it was this time not so much luck but we had to go the venue early because the seats were free and i travelled a lot to see jewel so i was already waiting for the venue to get best (front ) row seats. We and french Jewelfans were waiting outsie to get good seats. Very suddenly Jewel came out and so we were ordered to leave the entrance at the door to make space for the alaskan singer songwriter :-) Again we had to make our ways in to the row waiting for the concert. ....i was waiting in first spot and when i learnt that the que already was very crowded i jumped over the fence to make sure that i was in good pole position for a seat. They kept us very long waiting which makes us even more excited for the concert as you can imagine :-) when i was entering the building i ran like a happy child to get front row seats.....again i was very near Jewel as always during my Spirit world Tour... We talked to lee greene and he was telling how nice it was to see me and lotti again and that he enjoyed the dutch festival. I have to admit Lee is a really nice person......he could imagine why we did so much our best to get front row seats, and he 'tells' us that we deserves them... The venue was really special, it had seats and after the seats people were standing with another 300 fans and there were balkon lounges so the hall was really cool......what i didn't expect was the great atmosphere inside the venue....everybody seems to enjoy them selves so much and they really love the music of Jewel in Paris.....it helped this concert a lot, because Jewel was at so much more ease you see :-)))) She played very enthusiastic her songs and it was a rememorable show... The Steve set was awesome ( i had difficulties getting the recording good , was there perhaps a french fan who taped the set of steve ?) and than the angel Jewel came and the french crowd really got crazy as soon as Jewel started to sing her first line of the beautiful song near you always :-))) I never saw i think Jewel at so much ease and calm at a concert, and enjoying her selves so much....... All the songs rocked and the new ones are the most special ones actually.....i really have no words when she sings songs like Innocence maintained accoustically and the song Grey matter.....those songs are really beautiful and have a deeper meaning...the band songs when she invites the band in france gives you the time to enjoy Jewel playing her electrical guitar and her sweet dancesteps on the stage....her who will save your soul act is really special too.. The most special part for me this concert was when Jewel asked the audience when they requested Emily ....she aks the crowd if they know the lyrics.....lotti my dutch jewelfan who i travel a lot with to concerts in europe this month helped Jewel remembering the lyrics.. She enjoys her help and than she started to play a song that she only played once before and so she asks me if know when this song was sung by her....i yelled hamburg and she told i really have to count on you freak...(She meant it in a lovely way :-).... That was all for now....more to follow of the german concerts i saw singing Jewel and Steve....and how i met a german eda marian vaselvesivic who was really nice to me to offer at his home a sleeping place...
