I want to give Jewel a mixtape. For what it's worth, I bought the Eminem single - still love it. As for hip hop artists which Jewel might work well with - how about the Roots? Brilliant live, good lyrics, and their single with Erykah Badu was about the best new thing released this year. I still can dream about Jewel duetting with Lynden David Hall anyway (unique emerging British soul singer, his debut album is Medicine 4 My Pain), the two best live performers I've seen performing together- he's about the only reason I've bothered getting a ticket to the music festival in my home town, V99. The last I heard it was tentatively going to be called "Life Stories" but that was a while ago & it could easily have changed since. It'll feature original short stories & prose by Jewel. It's not a "scrapbook" per se. Not sure when expected arrival on that will be, but it probably won't be that soon. Jewel will be in concert in Cincinnati, Ohio on August 6th at Riverbend, and I am looking for EDA's from Ohio who will be or are thinking about attending the concert. Maybe we can have a gathering before or after the concert if enough people are going. If your interested in getting together please e mail me. I'm still kinda new to the list and have yet to personally meet any EDAs. Hope to hear from ya all soon. The Roots, they too i've heard for years. They have so many masterminds behind their music such as Rahzel which the public will hear about big time next month! But what i'd like to see is Fatboy Slim and Jewel! That would be an interesting change! "Scott S." -Big Sexy Angel "WE ARE ALL GOD'S CHILDREN! BUT WHY DO WE KILL EACH OTHER?" Hello lovely angels, I realise I haven't posted in a while, once again I've been offline because my computer broke *again*. Anyway I hope you are all well and I'm sorry for not replying to some people's e mails! I feel really awful about it. The reason I ask for your help is because I basically missed Jewel's tour and alot of her appearances on radio and television. It's really disheartning when the person you admire most in the world is sort of within your reach but there isn't anything you can do. Anyway I was just wondering if anyone had taped shows, or concerts that they might be willing to share with an angel and her friends that missed out. I'd love you forever, truly. Thanks for reading this far anyway :) Love and Faery hugs, Jodie ~*~You gave me your money, You gave me your dreams, Gave me your time, now it only seems that You really won't believe in me at all, Unless I kick a big hole in your dining room wall ~*~ Lisa Loeb "Going Somewhere" ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V4 #277 ***************************
