Hi EDA'S, Today Michiel and I went to the Watretoren studios where the show " laat de Leeuw " is being recorded. We heard that Jewel would be on that show to perform DSL and and have a little chat with Paul de Leeuw but unfortunately the ticket were sold out for over a month but Michiel and I wanted to go anyway because no one who had tickets knew that she was going to perform so we were hoping that some one would sell their tickets to us. The people from the TV-station told us that the recording would start at 2.30 so we were ther at noon. We walked to the studio and we saw Tony and we talked to him and he told us that Jewel wasn't there yet and that Steve and Doug went into the city and that Steve George was inside. We went to sit down in the sun it was a very warm day ) and we waited. Then we saw the rest of the band go in and later we saw Jewel go in. Some women from the show was standing outside and we went over to talk to her to see if there was a way to get tickets and she told us that we should ask Jannie so we went into the restaurant and we talked to Jannie and she said that we might get tickets but we had to wait till 3. Then we sat down at the bar in the restaurant and Jewel, Steve, Lee and Miss Walker were sitting at a table to have lunch. Then we talked to Jannie again and she said that we could get tickets so we could see the show!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 Then we went into the restaurant and Jewel and Steve had left for the sound check. We could hear parts of it in the restaurant. It sounded great ( as usual ). Then Brady came out and sat next to us at the bar and Doug and Tony also came out and sat with us at the bar. We talked a little and then Michiel and I went to the terrace. There was a women from Warner and we talked to her and there was also a women from Warner England and we also spoke with her. We told that we went to England and Germany to see her perform and that we had met everyone except Jewel and thenn she said : when she comes down I'll get her to talk to you. Then we sat down at the water but she wasn't coming down. Then the show began and we had a good seat to see the band. First there were 3 boring subjects and then came Jewel. First it took 5 minutes to get all the instruments on stage and everyone from the band except Jewel were already on stage and Steve was looking around and saw me so he asked how I was doing and he said some more but I didn't understand him because of the distance. Then Jewel came out and started to play DSL. It sounded terriffic. When they were done playing the song aul came to talk to her and that was really funny. I'll pst the conversation that they had tomorrow ( the show will be on soon so I've got to watch and tape it ) When the show was over Steve said that I should wait for him so we waited and he came to talk to us. Then we went back to the restaurant and we ordered another drink and went back out to sit in the sun. We saw Jewel and the rest of the band standing on the terrace aswell. Then the lady from Warner called us over because Jewel wanted to meet us. We shook hands and we said that it was a great performance inside and that she was really funny. ( you'll read it tomorrow ) Then we said that we really liked the song she wrote for her dad and she told us that she wrote it over a year ago and she asked us if we liked the new version of Jupiter ( wich we liked, of course ) and we talked a little about Ride with the devil. Then she asked if we liked Do you want to play. And we asked her if she wrote songs in the bus and we talked a little bit more ( wich I can't remember because I was really nervous ) Then we had to go because she had to do an interview with the Dutch newspaper de telegraaf. We sat down in the sun again and Tony cam over to talk to us and later Steve came to talk to us. Then we had to go home and we walked of the terrace and I waved goodbye to Steve and he cave me and airkiss. It was a great day. I still can't really realise it that I have met Jewel.
