BBQ: ok texans who live within an hour or two of austin..... tessa and amias and i are getting together for a lil bbq beer drinkin' sing along on saturday night. for details, write me. i have a nice shady courtyard and a pool in my apartment complex. and we are gonna have some big ass fun! 3. I was just in a record store and kinda casually glanced over at the singles rack to notice... A NEW JEWEL SINGLE!!! so I looked a little closer and saw the words "Down So Long" on the cover... not too put off I think to myself, oh wow!!! this must be that live version of "Amen" on it!!! so I look at the track-listing and no - it's the same as the one I've already got with the STL version of "I'm Sensitive" but just with completely new artwork... so anyway, I still had to have it!!! so I go up to buy it and I ask the girl if she knows anything about it and she said it's apparently the latest thing in the record industry to do new artwork for later pressings in the hope someone will think it's a new single (as I almost did) and buy it... so anyway, I get talking to her and am surprised to discover she is a Jewel fan too!!! after discussing the concert for a bit she tells me that apparently after the Christchurch show, Jewel's band (minus Jewel) went and played some impromptu gig at a pub in town which kinda pissed me off cos I was gonna go into town afterwards just in case but didn't... silly me... :-( so anyway, if you wanna see what the new artwork looks like I'm gonna scan and upload it so hopefully by the time you read this you'll be able to find it at: http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Stadium/7485/dsl.jpg ...and about the Jay Leno thing... Oh well ,whats a couple of wasted years in the life of a man Right ? While I was in Nashville poeple kept telling me "You're like a male version of Jewel" Over and over poeple kept saying this to me ,publishers,tour managers,other musicians and fans . So I finally decided , (on the night President Clinton began bombing Iraq in December) that instead of going to L.A. , I would go to San Diego and maybe they would Love me Too. So here I am Do they Love me ? You bet. When you are playing music on stage you would be suprised at what you can here in the audience. In Nashville I accually heard a toothless woman say "well that aint country" Now I here soft sighs and poeple come up to me crying and hug me. Very different atmoshpere. Please resist the temptation to think that this matierial was created with Jewel in mind as most of it was created before I even knew her name. The pictures of the Girl , The Angel , and the Angelwing were not even consciously painted by me but literally "Appeared" on my canvas.That probably sounds strange but it's true .( and I can Prove it ).
