I think it was the Japenese version or something. Has this been released yet, they said it had a live version of Fat boy and Amen. I would really love to get it since Amen is one of my fav Jewel songs. So does anyone know, has this been released? will it be released in the US? Kevin<>< Oh yeah, please visit my new website, no jewel content, but something personal I thought I should share with the world... http://victorian.fortunecity.com/essex/642/prepage.html ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 21 Mar 1999 21:27:56 EST From: ABershaw@aol.com Subject: Re: DSL single question In a message dated 3/21/99 8:53:46 PM, STAC5984@aol.com writes: < been released? will it be released in the US?>> There is not a scheduled "DSL" single release for the United States. Various versions of the "DSL" single have been released (Japan, Australia) & will continue to be released in various countries over the next few weeks. There will be variations on the bonus tracks from country to country. I don't know what all the variations are although I suggested several tracks ("Fat Boy" ,"Amen" & I forget what else) from Jewel's Shepherd's Bush Empire gig in London 1997 for use. I think the UK & parts of Europe may get that version. I think Japan & Australia have the same live "Fat Boy" & the POY album outtake that inspired the name EDAs....."I'm Sensitive" recorded at the InnerChange in 1994. To those who have copies, please correct me if I'm mistaken on your country's version. Too many to remember....... :-) MrBB ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 21 Mar 1999 22:51:13 EST From: Nutty81@aol.com Subject: question I'm still quite new and I don't know what an LRT is? I'd say on the contrary -- Jewel's referring to a specific person, but avoiding naming them explicitly. It's understood by both people in the conversation (the singer and her little sister) exactly who's being referred to. Seeing as you're from France, the slang/idiom probably doesn't make all that much sense to you, but it's pretty common to refer to someone as "so-and-so." (Jewel does _not_ have a sister; this song was about someone else's little brother.) >- -> clothing is the closest approximation to God : i donít really understand >this sentence Jewel's pointing out how people worship fashion and clothing to extremes. She's saying that people believe someone is a god because of how they dress. >* Iím sensitive >- ->if we're told we're bad : ? ? ? The whole line: "I have this theory that if we're told we're bad / it's the only idea we'll ever have." Jewel's pointing out how negative comments are detrimental to people's self-esteem. In this specific case, if you tell someone they're bad, worthless, et cetera, then they will grow up believing that.
