If I recall--doesnt JEWEL --PLAY THE GUITAR--why does she wave her arms around in this concert? Was she too lazy to pick up the guitar? 3)HAIR--it didnt matter to her in the early days--NOW--it must have taken HOURS to put that SILLY looking hair together....4)SINGING LIKE A BABY--whats the deal on this new attitude? She didnt put her TRUE voice into this show--- 5)Appealling to THE VOGUE CROWD (pandering)---Oh JEWEL...give me a break. 6)WHERE ARE THE POTENT SONGS--what no NICTONE LOVE, no pIECES OF YOU, no songs where you have something to SAY--just those little baby like songs...FINE--FINE--see if your audience LASTS -go ahead. This is a really stupid question, but does anyone know if the actual music on the staffs is just for piano, or is some of it for guitar too?? I mean, there are so many picking patterns for Spirit songs, how could they possibly leave it out of the sheet music?? Just wondering. - -Erin The Fire Angel ^_^ P.S.-- Does anyone know where the EDA angel name registry is?? I didn't check to see if my name was in there; I hope I'm not stealing it from someone. =) *********************************** chickclick.com http://www.chickclick.com girl sites that don't fake it. http://www.chickmail.com sign up for your free email. *********************************** ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 13 Mar 1999 19:27:27 EST From: BBBMonkey@aol.com Subject: Foolish Games Live Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the live version of Foolish Games? I'm happy to say that last night was a dream come true for me - the first time I've seen Jewel live. Live, she is like an amplified version of the Jewel I have come to know on CD, tape, Pics and TV/Video. Her voice is incredible and she is radiant - her skin is like velvet. (By the way, I am a married woman - hehe just appreciate beauty) I was lucky enough to get a front row seat thanks to Sang having a spare ticket - thanks sooo much mate - and Jewel was so close at times i could have reached out and touched her (I didnt tho :o)) One of the best surprises of the night was hearing her yodel - WOW! The last song she sang in the last encore - i dont know what it was called - can someone tell me? - she started yodelling and got faster and faster towards the end and the audience was calling "faster!" - superb! I had my eye on a guitar pick she threw on the stage in front of her towards the end and when she left the stage for "definately" the last time, I scrambled up like a fanatic teenage groupie to grab it LOL I had security guards grabbing at my clothes and my knees are skinned this morning but I got the plectrum! (I'm laughing this morning thinking how I must have looked - I am a 26 year old mother of 2 who is pregnant again - I must have looked like a mad woman! hehe) Anyway, thats my story about last nights concert. I would post about the set list but I'd probably stuff up the order of the songs. I'm sure there will be more accurate posts :o) Thanks for letting me share with you Jewelfully yours, Janadell :o) *^*^*the barefoot and pregnant angel with sore knees and a big smile*^*^* ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 14 Mar 1999 15:58:52 +1300 From: "Kim Lees" Subject: Jewel on The New Music in NZ!!! Hi Angels, just a quick note to let New Zealanders know that Jewel is featured on The New Music next Sunday (March 21st) at 3:30pm on TV4... any Canadians out there who can tell me how old it is??? we're usually a bit behind in stuff like this so I'm guessing it's from around the time "Spirit" came out... Underworld is also on the same show... shame I won't be able to tape it directly - I'll be busy stalking Jewel at the airport at that time!!! *LOL* Kim Lees Your New Zealand Angel Standing By ICQ# 9270797 - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ check out Kim's JEWEL Shrine... http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Stadium/7485/jewel.html includes a Real Audio section of over 100 songs - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ "They always say, 'Hey, great kid, have a nice day Happy birthday, have a great day day' But it's all just fake anyway They need an excuse" Jewel Kilcher - "Need An Excuse" ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 13 Mar 1999 20:58:58 EST From: STAC5984@aol.com Subject: Re: The Future of The EDAs- PLEASE read this OK, so this may not be a new idea. I am sure it has been thought of. I think the list should be an almost "all or nothing" thing. You can subscribe to the list which will be unmoderated for those of us who want it to be more personal, and there would be the other option which is the jewel news list. (that would be the "nothing" part, even though it isn't nothing, am I making any sense)? So you either get it all, or strictly the news stuff that may be important. I'm not sure how I stand on the moderation subject. I think to some extent it is a good thing. It really does help. But I have also had plenty of my posts not go through that I thought should have. It would be a whole lot more mail, but I think if that's what some people want that we should try it. I don't think it would be all as bad as it was that time we went unmoderated for 24 hrs. People just went crazy then because they knew it was a short time, and people are just like that. That situation also reminds me of something else, but with the list being moderated, I am sure it wouldn't go through :) so therefor I won't type it. See, its things like that....lol. Who knows, I will probably change my mind in a few hours, so be prepared to forget this came from me. Kevin <>< "I want to be in the light, as you are in the light.
