Hey everyone, I was jut going through some old email and I can't believe that I found so many saying stuff about the old Jewel vs the new Jewel and was wondering why!!! There is no new Jewel!!! Jewel is the same old Jewel!!! (not literally old but same) Just because she may want to dress differently, comb her hair differently, sing differently does not mean she has changed not one bit!!! It's the outside that you guys see that make you guess think she is new or whatever but it's not!! Jewel is the same on the inside!! I know I'm not going to be dressing the same as I was when I was in Jr high because styles change and that's what Jewel is doing I.E. the skirt. But, my personality is still the same!! When I call up old friends from lets say elementary, they say that I haven't changed a bit and even the friends that I have now, in high school, say that I haven't changed and I always ask, if that's a good thing and they say yes! So, that may not prove a point but what I am trying to say is that Lets not have anymore posts about "the new Jewel vs. the old Jewel" because Jewel is always going to be the same on the inside!! It is usually on at 1:35am eastern US time, but please check your local listings to be sure. Oh yeah, it's an hour long show for those of you that will have to tape it. Also on the site, it said that on Comedy Central on March 2nd, the Saturday Night Live show they will be showing/re-running that day will include a Jewel performance. It does not say which appearance it is, but my guess it's the one from May 1997. Hi, I posted a review of Jewel's show last night. Now I've had a chance to listen to my tape of the show and it sounds pretty good...taped from the eighth row with an analog Sony walkman and stereo mike. The only problem is I missed the first song she did with Steve during his set and the first minute of "Who Will Save Your Soul". Anyway, is anybody interested in volunteering to run a tree of this tape. I don't have good equipment to dub on, so I can't do the taping, but I can take care of the administration of the tree. If anybody wants to dub tapes off of mine to send to branch leaders, then please contact me. It would help if you lived in Melbourne because then I can just loan you my master tapes to dub with. So what's the verdict? Do you guys want this, even with the missing stuff? Also, if anyone has the stuff I'm missing, please contact me.
