I like it quite abit... She looked great!! And since I've not seen her live, nor very many times on tv (just the VH1 hard rock live, videos, various talk shows.. etc..) I have never seen her play electric guitar, though I am sure I have just missed it before... It was cool though...... I'm also disappointed that the guy he had taking pictures with the Polaroid did not take any of Jewel.....If had been me with the camera I'm afraid Dave would have been mad at me (because the entire roll would have been spent on Jewel, Steve and the band =Þ ) Anyways, just wanted to give my two cents, and the "Rowdius Stamp of approval" I'm still just counting the days until I can see her live.. (missed her during Rock-fest by 4 miles.. I thought her performance was great, but I was kind of pissed that there was no interview. I have never really seen a quality interview with her, so I was really looking forward to it. I liked it better than Conan. Even though I'm not a big fan of the live version of DSL as opposed to the Spirit DSL, the song rocks too much to not sound good. I thought the different vocal and chordal stuff at the end of the school was definetly kewl. As for Jewel herself, I normally don't think she looks all that great with her hair that long, but it worked for her on the show. She looked every bit the "folksy nature poet girl" that the media likes to peg her into. It seemed to me like she had lost some weight too. Anyone else notice that? The headline is 'Jewel may perform here'. Mostly, what the article said is that Jewel is most likely to perform at the Harbour Pavilion on March 31st and she's being brought in by Lushington Entertainments. The source said that Lushington is still ironing out a few details with Jewel's management before signing the contract. The source said that it's 98% confirmed although Lushington could not be reached for comment. I'm guessing that Sistic *might* handle the tickets... The show was the same on radio and TV with just an exception. On TV we couldn't see YWMFM. So, the songs we saw on TV were: - - Deep Water. (w/ band) - - Hands. (w/ band and she played guitar) - - Foolish Games. (just w/ piano) - - WWSYS. (w/ band) - - Down So Long. (w/ band and she played guitar) This really rocks. Finally, there's something funny I didn't realize when I heard it on radio. At the end of the concert we can hear Steven Poltz screaming "Andale, Andale, joya!!" which is a Spanish expression used mainly in Mexico that can be translated as "Go, Go, Jewel!!". But then I checked my radio recording and there (not in TV) we can also hear him say "Eres muy simpatica en California, y Alaska tambien" which means "You're very nice (referring to Jewel) in California, and in Alaska too". I also want to thank Jewel for record that concert for us, but I can wait to know when she will tour Europe, and specially Spain.
