Who plays quitar, when was it recorded, ect. I just became aware of Edwin when hearing his new single on the radio and i was in awe at how beautiful his voice was and then I relized she did a duet with him on radio angels. Any info. would help alot. I would alos like to get the lyrics to his song and find out who wrote it. Onto the other part of this e-mail. I was looking at Katie Holmes (Plays "Joey" on Dawsons Creek and "Rachel" in Disturbing Behaivor) web-page and she lists Jewel as one of her fav musicians along with Sarah MacLauglin (sp?) and Frnak Sinatra. Not bad :). Lesley P.S. Another one ready for them to bring on Down so Long. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 14 Feb 1999 21:42:19 +1300 From: Nicholas Wong Subject: Jewel's religion. This may have come up before on the post, but as my friend's and i were discussing her upcoming concert, one asked what religion Jewel believes in. I don't think Jewel is catholic or any religion, but from her songs and from what she has said i think Jewel believes in a higher being. Can anyone answer this for me??? I know when Jewel was young she was a mormon. Acoustic Cafe is a syndicated radio show & this particular track was rebroadcast many times on many different stations during 1996 & is featured on various "Acoustic Cafe" transcription discs sent out to stations that carry the program. The song titled "What Matters Is The Heart" is written by Edwin alone. Edwin is playing guitar on it and Jewel provides nice harmony vocals on this version. A fairly accurate lyric transcription follows. All the best, MrBB What Matters Is The Heart by Edwin McCain Did we forget about the passion Living day to day We keep our dreams locked down inside And choking on a lifetime And never take a chance Wake up one day wishing you tried It ain't about the money It ain't about the time It ain't about the love you lost Or the things you think you left behind It ain't about you're losing strength Makes you feel like you're falling apart What matters is the heart Lets forget about the notion That we're not the same My brother Ron's is red as yours We all get angry We've all been scared We've all made big mistakes That can never be repaired It ain't about the money It ain't about the time It ain't about the love you lost Or the things you think you left behind It ain't about you're losing strength Makes you feel like you're falling apart What matters is the heart Take my hand We can make a difference We can make a difference I know we can If we forgot about the passion Living day to day We kept our dreams locked down inside And choking on a life time And never take a chance Wake up one day wishing you tried It ain't about the money It ain't about the time It ain't about the love you lost Or the things you think you left behind It ain't about you're losing strength Makes you feel like you're falling apart What matters is the heart It ain't about the money It ain't about the time It ain't about the love you lost Or the things you think you left behind It ain't about you're losing strength Makes you feel like you're falling apart What matters is the heart ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 14 Feb 1999 11:21:33 -0500 (EST) From: leebermeister@startrekmail.com Subject: Jewel/Interlochen Hello-- I'm a fellow graduate of Interlochen Arts Academy. This CD, as well as his first one, 'Honor Among Thieves' (which includes "Solitude" and "Sorry to a Friend") are on Lava/Atlantic Records. It is pretty much next to impossible. I've tried a bazillion times calling that number on the website, and it always says I can't leave a message at this time. Then I saw that catalog on jeweljk, and it says you can order it from the website, but the server is always too busy or something to place orders. So does anyone know of a person I can just e-mail or something, to ask for a catalog to be sent to my house? The book that the movie is based on, "Woe, To Live On" by Daniel Woodrell, is set for a reprinting, so that part is possibly accurate.
