Sunday the 7th Jewel visited the swedish tv show, Sen kvall med Luuk. She performed "Down so long" and a snippet of "Wolf and dolphin" while she sat in the interview chair. She was relaxed and the interview was OK, a lot of talk about her former swedish-related boyfriend though, but she didn´t seem to mind. The performance was superb. Her band really rocked and the singing was strong. OK, the show will air here in Sweden on the 11th. Well, i recently did "Down So Long." I really went all out on it though. First of all, i scratched in some edits and sang my heart out. With the scrathing and singing, i got 1at place. Canal Plus, who broadcast the show have a website - in French! - with Jewel info. It's just a bio, which compares her to Sheryl Crow and Lauryn Hill (!). I will post a translation soon. She Played "Down So Long", in a really good new version. She played electric Guitar, while, on her rigth, Steve Poltz were playing with her accoustic guitar. (as someone mentioned before, the news shows seem to do good stories on her, like the CBS sunday morning segment...) They showed a lot of clips from her AIDS benifit concert, and the first version of the YWMFM video. She basically talked about the same ol' stuff (ive forgotten the details by now, ive slept since i watched it.) The only mistake the dude made was when he said something like "Her mother was forced to live in a van with her." As i understand it, Nedra did it for Jewel's sake, but it was just a slight slip. So all in all it was a good...dang if i can't think of the word...umm...story?...segment?
