I ordered in November the Frame from Jewel and a teapot and some other Jewel items. But till now i haven't received a thing. I know i live in Holland. But did any other Jewelfan experience the same for this frame with Jewel sitting on her horse. Are there more people still waiting for some Jewel goodies they ordered at the site of Jewel ?? I never had experienced this before, so it might be come allright. But so far it's not arriving at my place. Any answer would be great! Vogue will hold a party in New York City on Wednesday for its January cover girl, folk-pop sensation Jewel, to mark a partnership between the magazine and the singer to raise awareness for Jewel's charity "Higher Ground For Humanity." The charity is a nonprofit foundation dedicated to improving the global community and promoting human action. Jewel will spearhead the drive for "Higher Ground for Humanity" through personal appearances and concerts in 1999. In addition to Jewel, her mother and manager Nedra Carroll and Vogue Publisher Richard Beckman will be at the bash, held at Manhattan's Puck Building. The event is not open to the public. Interesting that Jewel still works at all this projects. She is really a woman that keep focussed on the world. It's a lovely organization, and i would think that all we EDA's should contribute to this organization that Jewel has been introducing lately with her mother. Last year was the first time that I went to Lilith Fair, I bought my tics hoping that Jewel would be coming to my city. As my luck has it, she didnt, but I still have an absolute blast. Just > thought I'd say this. . .'cause it was a cute picture of Jewel anyone see it? Hehe :) You were pretty close on the quote. What the Colin Quinn said was "Some guy just paid 2.5 million dollars for the Mark McGuire (sp?) home run ball. This man also bought 5 other home run balls from the Sammy Sosa/Mark McGuire race. Then I, I mean HE, will fashion a super-ball out of these five balls and trade it in for a ride on the new spacecraft with a naked Jewel." The only reason I remember all this is because I have the hugest thing for James Van Der Beek (Dawson on Dawson's Creek) so I was paying extra-close attention tonight ;) That 'N Sync thing was hilarious!! I haven't laughed so hard at SNL in a loooong time. James Van Der Beek's opening monolouge was extremely funny too. ~Emily, the Sunrise Angel~ *Your eyes burn bright against the frost lit sky You've never seemed more lovely than you do tonight* ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 17 Jan 1999 16:36:00 -0500 From: "Justin Gsegnet" Subject: Re: Sarcastic Jewel I was at the same concert in CT and I remember her saying that you should be nice to opening acts since she opened for the Ramones, etc. She offered an explanation for her remark later in the show, but I think she didn't owe them one. To be honest, I kinda liked the guy, he had his own style. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 17 Jan 1999 14:02:59 -0800 (PST) From: Desire able Subject: Jewel Chat tonight!
