I usually don't post since I'm kinda new to the list, but I have this question that has been KILLING me for the passed couple of days. I saw Jewel in concert about three years ago, right before POY took off and she was awesome! At the concert she really gave us our money's worth by singing several songs that were never released or recorded (at the time). One of the songs was my absolute favorite of the set, but I can't remember the name of it or any of the lyrics. However, I do remember she told us that she wrote it about a female serial killer who would kill males by kissing them with poison in her mouth. The song was phenomenal. Does anyone know the name of it and have the lyrics or a recording of it that I could get? I would be most gracious! Jewel was the second feature on Vh1's Back-2-Back. This was a pretty cool and a lotta information for the time space they were given. First they asked before the commerical break, like a pre-show trivia question, when did Jewel start preforming? They gave you three answers: A: 12 B: 6 C: 16 (The answer was B) Then, after the commericals, they gave 5 facts about Jewel. I'll summerize every fact real quick. 1) Even though her new album Spirit is about adulthood, her first single of the CD, Hands, is about her childhood. 2) Her video Hands is about helping people after an earthquake, and how she was reluctant to help out at first, and then once she did, she was glad and wished she had helped out ealier. 3)Ride With The Devil. 4)I'll be honest, I forget the fourth fact. 5)Jewel talked about how her mother was there through thick and thin. Then Vh1 played Hands first, then they played WWSYS. Wow, watching WWSYS really blew me away. The Back-2-Back really showed how Jewel grew over time. I'll be honest, I like WWSYS. It's more upbeat. Not the lyrics, but the beat. But what would you expect from a poppy, Backstreet Boy loving, 13 year old? I don't know, in PoY she reminded me of somebody you could talk to, and she'd talk back. She looked friendlier, and more teenage like, too. Like somebody I could relate too. It's just different now. I don't feel the same inspiration anymore.
