I agree, I went to the "new and improved" website tonight for the first time and thought it was awfull. It suffers from the same problem most site do, someone spent alot of time to make it look pretty and no time on layout. What's wrong with the classic headings News, Lyrics, Albums,FAQ. The sections make no sense Galaxy......, and once you get into them there all screwed up, should'nt the rumours section be in with the news, why is it with the bio. This sentence caught my eye yesterday as i walked through the isle of Hastings. There is a new book on Jewel out and it's called "Angel Standing By" by P.J. Mcarland. "Angel Standing By offers an intimate, behind-the-scenes look at the struggles and successes of Jewel Kilcher, who, in a few short years, went from living in her van near the beach in Sandiego to becoming a multiplatinum recording artist and nationally bestselling author." As you can see, for those who strive to learn more about the beauty that is Jewel, this book is a necessity! Angel Standing By the story of Jewel By P.J. McFarland ISBN: 0-312-19827-2 Pub. Galaxy I mean is that their for like easy maneuverability or something? But that may just be me>> If youre not getting the "subheadings" that describe what each word connects to on the navigation page, then your browser may not support java which is needed to be able to work correctly on the high end version. If when on our navigation page, you only get the words on the right hand side (Galaxy, Touch, Prescence, etc), then your browser is not java capable. Those with Netscape 4.0 & AOL 4.0 browsers get additional descriptions popping up as you move across those words as well as colors spinning around the HGH logo. Older browsers will not let you enjoy this feature. Instead, enter the site through the low end version & I think you'll find it much easier. The site was purposely designed with two versions so that both older & newer technology was supported. The Angel Of Death ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 12 Jan 1999 11:02:10 -0500 From: "Jason Keis - DRulz" Subject: Jewel on Howard Stern, among other media I heard something quite disturbing on the Howard Stern show this morning. Right now I could probably accurately assume that many of you are saying to yourself, "Come on, Howard Stern? Bah, he's only interested in lesbians and his small member..." or whatever.... However, he's known for telling things they way they are. I am not saying that he is RIGHT in this case, but what was mentioned (which I will withhold for my now questionable respect for Ms. Jewel Kilcher) could be true. Even several periodicals and magazines I have read have taken similar shots at Jewel for the way she surprisingly behaves with those in the industry, as well as sadly and unfortunately, her fans. Now please, don't get me wrong. I'm just raising this because I'm curious what you all think about.. and who knows, maybe if this is indeed true, this will somehow get back to her and she may learn from it. I don't know. It's weird. I've sent her letters, I tried to reach her every way I could possibly can to tell her how much I love her music, and how much of an impact she has made on my eagerness to do what she's doing. But this last letter I sent to her... when I dropped it into the mailbox, it really felt like dropping it into the rusted garbage can right next to it. I doubt the letter was even opened. I know she's overwhelmingly successful at what she does and I do understand that. I guess sometimes I would like to see miracles. Well... it's the music that counts, right? Unsung is my favorite song of Jewel's and I have been wishing since I saw her perform it at the Rimac soundcheck that she would record it or at least sing it in full so someone would have it on tape. The only recorded version is in the Archives and is not available. If memory serves, she is talking during part of it so I think it was just sort of a rehearsal. Just ask Jewel, still fairly new to the game. "I think your worth is still your sex appeal in pop music, and the pressure to succumb to that is tremendous," she says. "I try not to get too neurotic about exercise. Working out is a diva thing, isn't it? There's such pressure. I'd like to talk to the other girls about that." Anyone out there?
