I went to my first geetar lesson at a local music store called Clawsons and go into the littel room and i'm sitting there talking to my teacher. Wait, let me just get to the point :). Anyways, she asked me what kind of music I listen to and want to play, so I said Jewel. Then she said "Did you see the FANatic with that girl that got to meet Jewel?" and I said "yeah." Then she said "Well you look like her." Just a funny Jewel related story :). I made a MIDI for Emily! ^_^ It's guitar only, though. :\ Anyway--you can access the MIDI from the main MIDI page http://www.crosswinds.net/virginia-beach/~vansciver/jewel/midi.html Don't forget to check out the Windows Wallpapers I have on the site! (There's only three, right now) I think they may take more time than the MIDIs do. :) http://www.crosswinds.net/virginia-beach/~vansciver/jewel/wallpaper.html Look at the main page, too while you're at it! ^_^ http://www.crosswinds.net/virginia-beach/~vansciver/jewel/ ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 29 Dec 1998 14:39:15 -0600 From: marie@jeffersontitle.com Subject: NJC: I need he lp Hey EDAs, Ok I know I haven't posted a lot but I really need help. I'm 14 and about 2 years ago my mother tried to put me through a wall. *She picked me up and started slamming me against the wall.* Her and my stepdad both drink and have very violent tempers. There haven't been any REAL big cases since that one. That one took my stepdad to get her off of me. we no longer live with him and I'm afraid that if she snaps again I won't survive. I really need help and don't know where to get it. Anyone who does know please tell me privately. Thanks again Maxmouze for you help. I have to get going now. Bye bye. love you guys. Keeping this in mind, make sure you are getting an American VHS tape, if you trade for the video. Hi, I finished my web-page. After much trouble with freeyellow, I decided to go back to AOL personal publisher. Didn't turn out too bad. It is not just a Jewel page, but a Steve Poltz and Jewel page. The TV appearence link is not working right now, I am still working on fixing that. Also, I don't have any tour dates up. If anyone has the whole list of tour dates announced already, please e-mail them to me. Thanks. Ok, here's the link. One Left Shoe With Spirit . I don't know if this will work after being posted, so here's the URL: http://members.aol.com/dkookybaka/olsws/index.htm please go check it out. Thanks. Lesley P.S. If anyone has any other pix of Steve with Jewel or Steve alone, please e- mail them to me, thanks. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 29 Dec 1998 15:14:29 PST From: "Greg White" Subject: Weird poster Hi! Today at a store called "Prints" [I don't know if this is a chain or just one store, sorry] there was a poster of Jewel. It is available at the Jewel store. It is a VERY pretty picture of her with tree's in the background. It was a whoppin $35.00 dollars, and I didn't get it because I have the one I ordered from the Jewel store.... BUT the weird thing is that it was REALLY bad quality. It has sorta white cracks in it and, well, It looked like someone just made colour photo copies of bits of the poster and then put them together or something. It was printed on cheap paper that wasn't as heavy as the paper the real poster is on and is *slightly* smaller than the real one as well. Any idea what it is I found? I'm guessing this is violating a few copy right rules. There was no writing on it. Is just a really rare Jewel print or something? I strongly doubt it but.... Greg I said to him "I doubt I'll get rich doing coffee shop gigs" He said "Your probally right, but it's nice to do something you love" -TWIN ROCKS, OREGON | SHAWN MULLINS _________________________ ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 29 Dec 1998 19:47:24 EST From: CHERuBUG2@aol.com Subject: Jewel in SFChronicle Jewel is in the San Francisco Chronicle for Tues Dec. 29, 1998 :) It says..... Marilyn Manson's Folk Appeal Jewel identifies with Goth rocker "All you can do is be honest, and people will respond to it. That's why people love Marilyn Manson. He's real. I worship him. I think we're different sides of the same coin. I think he wants to do the same thing I wan tot do, which is break down boundaries and teach people to be more open, to thing.... I'd love to do a duet with him." So says sexy folksinger Jewel in the Jan. issue of Vogue. The blond bombshell with he crystalline voice appears on the cover. (Vogue points out that she is probably the only performer in her genre who has often worked onstage in miniskirts and spike heels. And why not? Does her taste for sexy glamor make her any less sincere?) Jewel makes her much-anticipated movie debut in April with Ang Lee's Civil War drama "Ride With the Devil." ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 29 Dec 1998 21:19:53 EST From: Rolkdog@aol.com Subject: trading and a few B&Ps Hi, looking to trade a little again.
