(Vogue's Jan 1999) it's one of the best group of "mature" pictures I've seen of her in a while! I haven't seen her boyfriend in a magazine before but maybe I'm just slow on these things! I really love all the clothes she's wearing for the pictures! It's Jewel performing Down So Long.. I think it's live, but I haven't finished downloading it yet.. - -- Has anyone seen the Jewel commercial on VH1? It has Jewel at a campfire, singing "Hands".. I only caught the last 5 seconds of it and couldn't tape it.. So could y'all watch out for it? Ok, Puff Daddy is also American, >but Europeans have prejudices against Americans (same story the other >way `round!). Btw, how many European artists made it into the US-Top 10? iīm from germany and unfortunately youīre right. jewel isnīt popular here, but we really donīt have any prejudices against americans! no way! we admire americans actually. we donīt have any music or movies of our own. in music-shops they asks: *who? jule? yule? i donīt know? is it a man or a group or what?* even at hmv or wom they donīt know her. but the new album is advertised in magazines here and the critics (most of them!!) praise the spirit album. every mazine, for example rolling stone, says: music for the 21st century. they say: when alanis will be out again jewel will still be hot. sheīs compared to bob dylan. in another review they say: *blabla and by the way jewel is arrogant*, as the final sentence. i donīt think this is very objective. itīs polemic. could anyone please let me know where i can get the rolling-stone-article? but i love jewel ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 25 Dec 1998 19:27:12 +0100 From: "Massimo" Subject: Amazing Vatican Hy to everyone, it was an incredible show last night in Vatican and Jewel song an amazing version of "Hands" with the full orchestra. I think is absolutely the best version of hands live ever heard until now. As i will come back from the vacation i will dubbe the show. Jewel has also song a "cappella" another christmas song with her mother and, all together, the last song that was, obviously, "SILENT NIGHT". she was at center of the crow, close to one of the most famous (specially for the tenager) young Italian singer called "NECK". I aphologise that my english is not so good to explain how much wonderful has been JEWEL!!!! BYE MAX ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V3 #719 ***************************
