Wow, 2 Jewel TV appearances in less than 12 hours, I loved it! Her performance on Letterman was good, but I wished they had given her more of a chance to talk with Dave. It was funny however when she called him a donkey! The Today Show was good too, but it was a bit disappointing that she was on for only 15 minutes or so... I had been expecting her to get the full half-hour. But the performances were great nonetheless, and Jewel was looking just as beautiful as always. I thought it was a bit weird that they had her singing outside in the cold though... I know from experience that it can get tough to play guitar properly when your fingers are numb! Well anyway, that's just my 2 cents on the subject. I'm sure we'll be hearing about a zillion other "did you see her on Letterman"-type posts soon anyway! I saw the Today Show today (hee hee) and Jewel was as bright as ever. She sang "Hands", and "You Were Mean For Me", and to end the show she sand "Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer" with her Mom. Lenedra was awesome, too. Before "Hands" Jewel had a very short talk with the Today Show's host about how she had her book ANWA out and then her new album. It was basically what all the other interviews ask and talk about with her. When Jewel was singing to the audience she kind of winked at them and tried to wave. In "You Were Meant For Me" she had the crowd sing some of the chorus with her. It was pretty cool. The only thing that I was dissapointed about was that they showed a little clip of Jewel singing "Deep Water" to the crowd but never showed her singing the whole song live. It was really a nice program but didn't start at 8:30 AM right away. It started at around 8:40AM and ended 5 minutes earlier so Jewel was not on for a whole half hour. Yesterday morning (about 545am Thursday) I caught a clip from MTV news. The little hook was something like "Kurt Loder revokes Jewel's poetic licence." They came back and there was part of an interview with them in a little room. And he asks her about Kiss the Flame where she says " there are people selling thoughtlessness with such casualty" and Kurt Loder goes off on her about how that's not a casualty and didn't she mean casualness.
