Mr.BB? >> Hi, Wow. I forgot about that song. I couldn't say that it'll never be released as a b-side, but since you're just asking my opinion, I tend to doubt it. "Cruise Control" was written in 1995 & was primarily performed on her 1st tour with a band during Spring of 1996. That was quite a few tours ago. Its actually even more outdated than the Bearsville session stuff. Fun song though & a cool idea on your part! :-) MrBB ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 7 Nov 1998 23:48:01 EST From: Kk2525@aol.com Subject: Friday Night << Did any one watch this show called Friday Night? If so could you please inform what they were talking about? >> No! I always watch that show (Well when i can stay awake) and they always have Jewel videos on (Because they're always winning the viewers polls). I can't believe i missed it! Everyone show watch out, "Hands" will be on again, trust me. This show repeatedly plays "You were meant for me" and "Foolish Games" so it's most likely "Hands" will be in the poll for best female artist new song. ~Kristina ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 08 Nov 1998 17:50:47 +1300 From: Kim Lees Subject: Re: B-Sides > Cruise Control isn't a ballad so it doesn't fit in with Jewel's new > album > which she'll be promoting. that may be true with the album, but I think artists tend to be more flexible with b-sides... just remember she used "Cold Song" & "Rocker Girl" as the b-sides of the Australasian/European YWMFM single... :-) Kim Lees Your New Zealand Angel Standing By check out Kim's JEWEL Shrine... http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Stadium/7485/jewel.html - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ **** ICQ# 9270797 - please feel free to add me to your list... **** - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ "So I have these little unfulfilled fantasies Of putting arsenic in his teacup We’d see who would be laughing then... ...If only he was the type to drink tea" Jewel Kilcher - "A Housewife's Revenge" ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 08 Nov 1998 00:11:23 -0500 From: Jesse Richman Subject: NJC: Steve Poltz in Boston, anyone going? I know that with Spirit almost out, everything is Jewel this, Hands that, but i havent seen any mention of this (though i might have missed something). Anyhoo, I'm going to see Steve Poltz (among others) Monday nite in Boston. Out of curiousity, are any other EDA's going? Meetup maybe? I know I'll be getting their early and staying late cuz my one friend is obsessed with Glen Phillips and needs to meet him for like the 5th time :). Anyways, you can keep replies private so we don't get too diverted from that which is Jewel :) ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Jesse Richman Fear is strangely comfortable hrichman@fast.net +Live+ jesseboy@brandeis.edu And although we were very thirsty Xopchipili@aol.com I questioned the oasis +Live+ Each new BELIEF is a LIMITED SET to be TRANSCENDED The Shamen ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V3 #590 ***************************
