I sent her 18 blanks for angelfood and 6 blanks for her services. (cost me around $34.00) This was back in MAY!!!! So we kept in contact till about June and she kept making up excuses about having personal problems etc.. I understood and waited patiently. Her name is Nancy Nguyen and she was also in charge of the Jewel birthday video EDA project. I was the only other one who participated. I followed her instructions and sent the video in a SASE and she never returned it. It really hurt that she never returned the birthday video because I didn't have time to make a copy so I sent her the original in a Self Addressed Envelope so now I have no copy. Another Hawaii EDA didn't even get to see the finished product. I was quite offended by this because I did not harass her, I just wanted to know why she never replied to my e-mails This was the last e-mail I received from her. What's worse is she is an active EDA who makes California EDA gatherings. Which is why I can't understand why I have had such a bad experience with her. You yourself might know her. Needless to say I still have no angelfood and have not seen the birthday video that was supposed to be sent to Jewel. If anyone knows her or has any answers, please email me. And untill I get a reply from Nancy I would recommend other angels to stay away from her. She has costed me a bundle. And by posting this post I am pretty sure I will never see my audio tapes and video tape. I just want to save some EDA's from a miserable experience. And Nancy if you are reading this I hope some of your fellow Every Day Angels will show you the light and teach you a little about responsibility and commitment. Hear hear. What some of us fail to appreciate is that the restrictions that are placed on posting behaviour are for the good of the list. If offers of illegal bootleg CDs, MP3 files etc are posted here & word gets back to Jewel's management they won't be pleased. If such behaviour continues they'll be a little more thanpissed off. A cease and desist order could follow. Before posting anything during the unmoderated period just ask yourselves whether you are prepared to risk losing the list over it. Thanks to Mike the Jewel lists (to my knowledge at least) have never been asked to shut down because this sort of posting has been kept out. Please keep it that way. Mike's not trying to be awkward, he's just doing a thankless job that requires him to be a little more far-sighted than we sometimes are. These kind of bands are pop bands. Jewel is not. Jewel will not change as much as a lot of you (not all) guys are expecting! Sure, she's gonna get a bit more production in on her album now, she's gonna get a better producer. It's cuz she's got enough money to do this now! I bet if Jewel was to re-record POY with the new producer it would be "over-produced". OK, so now I'm just going on, but I want you to understand that none of us can judge "spirit" until we hear it. So that makes about one of us (mrbb) who can fairly judge it. And guess what? He has, and he says it's great! We should take Mr-BB's word for it until we actually hear it ourselves, and until then shut up!
