I don't know how many younger people out there know who bruce hornsby is, but I bet the older jewel fan crowd does. Well, I'm not that old (16,) but my parents have always liked hornsby, so I've been exposed to his music. anyway, this weekend I was able to take a seminar sort of class taught by bruce hornsby, tomorrow is the last day. it's at the omega institute, this new age sort of place near where I live that holds weekend seminars during the summer and fall. The course is in songwriting and improvisation, spontenaity in music, and I play the guitar and sing and attempt to song write, so this has been an amazing experience for me. It makes me wish jewel would do something like this...let me watch all the musicians out there drool.. ;) so anyway, I thought you guys could appreciate this weekend, it's been so incredible. Bruce has been telling us stories, helping us with our songwriting and improv skills, and playing his songs for us, and just explaining so much about music, teaching me so very much. It's been so cool, this is a really unique experience, I'm so glad to be a part of it. thanks for reading, I just was excited, I thought there would be people here who appreciate this sort of thing ;) sarah ____ Please don't bring me flowers they only whisper the sweet things you'd say and don't try to understand me your hands already know too much anyway...." - - jewel, "near you always ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 13 Sep 1998 07:11:03 PDT From: "André Ishak" Subject: what's angelfood? hi! since i live in norway and are new to this list i have no idea what angelfood is. so if someone could explain that to me that'd be cool. andré *the skateboarding angel* ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 13 Sep 1998 10:07:04 +0200 From: Michiel van Gorkum Subject: vote now for dutch poll hello fans of jewel, i have just made a poll page for my dutch tribute site. what i would like very much is, that you all every day angels vote for my Jewel poll. So please, whoever you are (or if you know that certain website address), e-mail me privately. i will be very thankful for your help!!!!
