MrBB had mentioned in a post a couple of weeks ago she's doing a small tour for two or three weeks around the time of the CD release. (it would seem to me it will be USA and/or Canada only tour being her first one in over a year and basically an album promotion) After that he did not yet know. Stay tuned, we'll be the first to know! (as usual :-) >What ever happened to the 20 (or was it 10) questions? It was "we send her 20, she answers 10". The finishing up of it was delayed when Jewel went into the studio in August to record the new CD, and likely she just forgot about it and no one has reminded her of it since. I privately inquired about it myself just the other day, so maybe something will happen soon to finish it up :-) Mike :-) - - * If you are new to the Jewel list and need a helping hand, * or have a burning question about Jewel and/or the list, * The Jewel/EveryDay Angels List Homepage & Guide is at: * http://www.spectra.net/~ducksoup * Many basic Jewel and list questions can be answered there :-) * * If you can't find the answer on the page have any list related * questions, please feel free to email me at ducksoup@spectra.net * or you can IM me on either of the AOL names below: * DuckOfPrey or WhyADuck55 on AOL or AOL Instant Messenger ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 12 Sep 1998 07:56:02 PDT From: "André Ishak" Subject: i was just wonderring... hi! i was just wonderring if there are any eda's in here in norway. and another thing, f there are such things like angels, then jewel must be one of them. They called it JEM because Jem starts with Je and is a jewel (gem). They do that so if someone knows the title of the song but vaguely forgets the singer, they'll get confused and buy the dance remix. Or, maybe they're just trying to be funny. They usually release dance remixes of singles that weren't released so people will buy them by mistake (they had a million copies of "My Heart Will Go On (Dance Rexmies)". Here's another example... NATALIE IMBRUGLIA -- Torn NATURAL INNOCENCE -- Torn (Dance Remixes) Anyway, the CDs are produced for clubs and any place where people have to dance but it's definitely not Jewel. The singer is an average singer with nothing special about her voice. - -- Mark ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 12 Sep 1998 12:46:07 -0400 From: beccahusky1@juno.com (Kristin A Maynard) Subject: Jewel Article Hey Everyone, I write for my school newspaper and article season has started again and I was wondering if you guys would mind if I did an article on the EDA's. Hello all you lovely angels! I'm just getting started on playing the acoustic guitar (I'm learning You Were Meant For Me) and I was thinking it would be nice if I could get one of those EDA guitar picks I hear about so much. Can anyone help me? I may be able to work out some kind of trade, though I don't have much. Thanks! OK, I'm sure there must be other EDA's in La Costa! That's the city I live in, in north San Diego. In, La Costa, Encinitas, or Carlsbad. See, my friend in PA just found another EDA in her school! I figure, since I know for a fact there are a whole bunch of fans here, there must be one who lives in my area! So if you do, please email me privately....thanx! What can I say. I love Jewel. I decided to try finding my least favorite thing about her. This to took a very long time- a couple of days. the worst thing I could think of isn't really negitive. Jewel is just so cool she makes even the most talented singer/songwritters seem-well untalented for lack of a better word. Well, I know that "baka" means "idiot" in Japanese and "kooky" means "funny" and "odd." So maybe the word means that she's not a kooky idiot. If this were the case, then it would be pronounced "Koo-kee- bah-kah." [shrug] Just my thoughts...
