This show that just preformed on playing today, I thought that it was the best interview that I've saw. In my oppionion, it was great! I deffinitly think that was the best so far. *Jewel* looked and sounded wonderful! I am so lucky to be able to catch it! What happened was, I got up but I was still in my bed awake. Then I thougth "Oh my God what time is it? I look at my clock and guess what it says?! 9:00 on the dot! Can you believe it?! So I charge out of bed, run downstairs and turn on CBS to find this baseball crap (no offense to someone who likes baseball, I don't really find it interesting.). Then I check the TV guide to make sure it was CBS and it was. So I had to wait pationtly untill it was Jewels turn. And I'm glad I did that! It was great! Have a nice day everyone! Hi all... in my never-ending quest to think up original stuff to do for my Jewel page I came up with a fantastic idea, inspired by that guy who posted about realising Immani Coppola's "Legend Of A Cowgirl" samples Donovan's "Sunshine Superman"... coming from a very musical household, I grew up listening to heaps of 60's & 70's music but as I'm sure many of you didn't I've managed to track down the original versions of some of the songs Jewel has covered and made them into RA's for my site... so far I've got the originals of "Sunshine Superman", "You Make Loving Fun", "Over The Rainbow", "The Star Spangled Banner" (well, of course Jimi didn't do the *original* but it's a pretty damn good version anyway!!!) and also a 30 second clip I found of a guy doing a full-on C&W version of "Chime Bells"... (ya gotta hear it!!!) :-) I should soon have Tracy Chapman's version of "Behind The Wall" too, but in the meantime you can find the stuff I've done at... http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Stadium/7485/jewel.html Kim Lees Your New Zealand Angel Standing By aka The Angel Who Finally Got Himself A Homepage... http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Stadium/7485/ - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ **** ICQ# 9270797 - please feel free to add me to your list... **** - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ "Where does love go if it can't find a home One moment here then gone with no forwarding address Love no longer has a house or residence in flesh" Jewel Kilcher - "Emily" ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 6 Sep 1998 12:59:16 EDT From: KNicky3116@aol.com Subject: Innocence Maintained Hello everyone, I was in a clothing store yesterday at the mall (the Weathervane) and one of my friends works there so we were just talking while she was vacuuming. My sister was looking at some clothes, and since I couldn't hear the radio she was like, "Hey Nicky this is Jewel". So my friend shut off the vacuum, and sure enough it was Jewel, but I was quite surprised to be hearing Innocence Maintained. It sounded as though it was some sort of radio edit or something like that, because it wasn't live and it sounded like it was all "dolled up". I asked my friend where they got that tape and she said that they just get them in the mail...hmmm. Anybody know how they got a hold of that version of Innocence Maintained?? If it's even on STL or Phyllis Barnaby.... then just call me stupid. I just never realized it. :) - -Nicole the angel who is making a big deal out of hearing that song:) ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 6 Sep 1998 12:00:15 -0800 From: Keith Chan Subject: Spew 9 CD I found a Spew 9 CD in a record store a few days ago for $15. Well, I've just looked at the new Jewel photos at the Official Jewel Site...my God, she is sooo beautiful (no disrespect meant when I say 'my God'). I was taken back by her once again. OK, though, this is my question: included in the new photos is one that reads (underneath) "Sept. 4, 1998. Photographer by Matthew Rolston." I know that name! Doesn't he also direct videos? He might have even directed one of Jewel's videos, I guess (they took MTV off of my cable when "Foolish Games" was in heavy rotation). I thought that one of you might recognize the name.
