Since i've joined this great list i've gotten to know many great people! I think that this group of people is the greatest group of friends i have today. I just wanted to express my feelings about this ingeneous invention called the Living Room Tour. LRTs are probably one of the greatest things ever to derive from the Everyday Angels. More yet, they're one of the more important personal investments one could partake in to really appreciate music. I've been to my fair share of concerts in my life and I still regard these LRTs as the most special. Cindy Lee Berryhill, Elizabeth Hummel, Joy Eden Harrison, Lisa Sanders, and Mary Dolan will surely take you to that musical Elysium that is often rare to find. There are many LRTs that are sure to be coming your way so please take advantage of the opportunity and get more information on these nationally hosted events. On to the random Jewel sighting which most of you are more interested in... My older brother works in Santa Monica and, the other day, he saw Jewel on the sidewalk in some cowgirl outfit doing some lasso trick in front of a large group of people. Actually, a few friends of mine have seen her around town so she must be recording nearby... either that or she's trying out for another telepic remake about the adventures of Calamity Jane... Don't forge... Gregory Page is playing at The Mint on 8/16 and at Luna Park on 8/19 (both in Los Angeles). Lisa Sanders dates at . So ends my semi-annual effusion... The best aspects of this are manifest at the myriad Living Room Tours which have sprung up as a direct result of this list, and I encourage every EDA to make an effort to attend one as soon as possible. There's a good reason why the fans love these and the performers are ecstatic about the experience. Try it! A splendid time is guaranteed for all. Check Duff's central website for the next LRT near you; I'm hosting one in Los Angeles on August 22 (email me for directions if you're able to attend). It is not the same version on the 'Pieces of You' Vinyl Edition or on the Foolish Games import. It also features tracks from Gregory Page & The Rugburns {The Rugburns track is same as on 'Morning Wood" however...;( All this for the price of $6.97 {with shipping it comes to: $11.19.} All in all a simply smashing CD...;) Enjoy. - --Mike ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 12 Aug 1998 17:35:52 -0500 From: Karyn Cruz Subject: Jewelstock t-shirt '96 Greetings, fellow Angels! By chance I happened upon a link to a site that is having a "contest" of sorts to find the top 100 albums of all time. Votes are taken decade by decade-- i.e, 60's, 70's, etc...-- and nominees are based on album sales and reviews. I find this kind of poll much more interesting than a "let's just vote for Jewel" sort of thing, which I know about 1 or 2 percent of people on the list would actually take interest in. The url is http://www.wallofsound.com/features/stories/top_100_albums/60s/index.html On a side note, I happened to come across a MTV Road Rules episode where I'm almost certain I heard the chords to "Silver Lining." I don't remember any specifics, but it was from the most recent Road Rules series. - --Brian ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 12 Aug 1998 19:29:35 EDT From: Jkpisces@aol.com Subject: Voting Hey angels!!! I voted like 300 times! I don't know if everyone already knows this. Hey, is this cheating? If it is, I will vote the normal way.
